Ashley: “So…Ash huh?” Ashley raised an eyebrow. “Ya know…I only let my closest friends call me that.” Ashley smiled jokingly

Spencer: “Oh really? Well…” Spencer leaned forward on the table. “We must be pretty close friends then…because I’m going to call you that whenever I feel like it.” Spencer gave Ashley a smug smile.”

Kyla and Aiden were talking and Kyla glanced over at Spencer and Ashley.

Kyla: “So what’s up with them?” She whispered to Aiden

Aiden: “Well, I’m not too sure about Spencer, but I think Ashley likes her. She was yakking my ear off about Spencer before she got to the table.” He whispered

Kyla: “Yea, well…just don’t let Ashley treat her like the others. Spencer seems like a really nice girl.” she whispered back.

Ashley: “ So did you not use your locker at all today?” She asked noticing Spencer still had her books and a heavy book bag.

Spencer: “I still haven’t figured out where it is.” Spencer said embarrassed.

Ashley: “Why didn’t you tell me earlier? I would have let you use my locker, until you could find yours. Or as long as you need it for.” Spencer smiled. “We can figure that out after school too.”

Aiden: “They sure do smile at each other a lot, I haven’t seen Ashley smile that much since she found out I dumped Madison, and she didn’t even smile as much as she is now” he whispered to Kyla. Kyla burst into laughter. Ashley and Spencer looked at her.

Ashley: “What’s so funny? We want to know the joke too.”

Kyla: “Nothing, I just remembered something.” She calmed her laughing down. Ashley turned to Spencer.

Ashley: “Forgive her, she get’s weird when she forgets to take her meds.” Spencer and Aiden giggled.

Kyla: “Ha ha, very funny Ash.” She said sarcastically

Ashley: “Well obviously not as funny as whatever it was you were laughing about.” Kyla rolled her eyes. The bell rang and everyone got up from the table.

Ashley: “So don’t forget to meet me in the parking lot after school Spence.”

Spencer: “Ok, I’ll be there.”

Everyone headed to their last class, Ashley told Spencer how to get to her class. Ashley walked into her class and sat down next to Aiden, the teacher in their last class only handed out worksheets, then the teacher would fall asleep at the desk. Ashley and Aiden would usually talk through basically the whole period, then copy the answers from someone else’s worksheet.

Aiden: “So, you and Spencer looked pretty cozy.” he said while eyeing Ashley.

Ashley: “And your point is?” She seemed annoyed about Aiden’s statement.

Aiden: “I’m just saying…Spencer’s new here…she seems like a really nice girl…just don’t…don’t take advantage of her.”

Ashley: “AIDEN ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! Do you think that just because I talk to her, it means I want to get into her pants?!!”

Aiden: “Ash, calm down. All I’m saying is, you know as well as everybody else here what kind of “reputation” you have, so just…be careful with her.”

Ashley: “Yea, thanks for the advice dad.” She stated sarcastically “And even If I did want to be “more than friends” with her, I couldn’t.” She said sadly

Aiden: “Why not?” He gave Ashley a puzzled look.

Ashley: “Come on Aiden, you saw her, she looks straighter than Barbie.”

Aiden: “Well, that’s never stopped you before, and she seemed pretty flirty with you today at lunch. And for your information…Barbie’s a doll…and if it’s your doll, you can make her like whoever you want.” He raised an eyebrow at Ashley. Ashley smiled at Aiden.

Ashley: “Ya know “dad” sometimes you do have some really good advice.” Aiden had a big pie eating grin on his face, feeling pretty proud of himself. “But now is NOT one of those times.” Aiden’s smile fell and Ashley laughed. “So…you really think she likes me?”

Aiden: “You are so sprung.” Ashley gave him a “so what” look. “Of course I think she likes you, Did you see how much she was smiling at you? OH! And what was up with that little “attitude” she had?”

Ashley: “I’ll have to…” the bell rang cutting Ashley off. “Looks like I’m about to find out.” Ashley said standing up.
