Heartless – (Chapter: 5. Ayo, I did some things but that's the old me)

On the way home I texted Blake to find out her sisters number, I still didn’t have it.

Maybe it was the post game adrenaline rush still acting up but I was curious as to where Ashley went and why.

After she sent me the number I got a separate text message, also from her.

    “: – )”

    of course.

I waited until after Parker dropped me off, and after I ate the leftovers from dinner, and after I did my math homework before I texted a certain brown eyed brunette so I could be in the comforts of my own room.

Hey, what happened to you after the game?

Simple, yet required an answer.  If you want to continue to talk to someone always make it so it requires an answer.

Not to intimate though, just a friend being curious.

It’s quite ridiculous when you over analyze a text message of this caliber and what’s even more ridiculous is that I’ve been staring at my cell phone for at least 4 minutes waiting for my answer.

Don’t Worry, I went through the check list.

    Sounds on

    I have service

    Text was delivered…and read

    I still have service.

I wasn’t about to resend, that’s just a tactic for desperate measures and it was borderline annoying.

No way in hell I was going to call…especially after sending a text message.

    I could resend….. NO.

A hot shower will keep me occupied and will not allow me to make rash decisions.

I took one last look at my phone before I made my way into the bathroom, stripping off my clothes along the way.

I spared some of the dignity that I had left and didn’t check my phone until I had grabbed my pajamas and set them on my bed. Ya know, to keep up appearances.

Sure enough, I had not one but two text messages.

    Sorry I had to bolt

I frowned when there was nothing else to the text, no question that followed or reason for response.

However, I smiled slightly when I saw that it was a duplicate message.

    3. Babe…like no more texting. I am now super aware of my texting and texts i get…so no more. we will write letters instead like our grandparents did. Well not your grandparents and my grandparents cause I don’t think they knew each other…and not specifically our grandparents but the collective grandparent. Either way, I’m not texting you anymore! Amazing chapter, i got all sorts of lost in it. they better get together, and if you kill them…well…i’ll do something drastic, like, like…um…NOT write you letters haha take that
