Spencer got up and slowly backed away from Courtney’s body. She turned around to see where the police were ad what the ambulance was doing. They were also looking around for Courtney’s body. People who were on the bus saw the entire thing, some were even re-enacting the scene. Ashley was on her knees, unable to even pick herself up. She recognized the two officers who were talking to her, they were the same ones that interrogated them a couple of months ago. If Ashley said anything, she was fucked. What to do? Make a run for it? The paramedics were on their way over to her, if she ran now, they’d see her.  The detectives moved away from Ashley and walked around the blood stained bus, marking droplets of blood on the ground as they walked. Spencer didn’t know what to say to her. She didn’t know how to comfort her, but she knew something would make her feel better. She slowly walked up to her and took hold of her hand, Ashley didn’t say anything as the blonde led her behind the overturned trash cans. Spencer had to cover her up Ashley’s mouth when she saw the body. Spencer stood watch while Ashley fell to the ground and screamed into her hands and cried as softly as she could. Courtney’s lifelessness was proving to be to much for her, she got up and violently vomitted by the wall. Spencer thought she was going to die. It was like her heart was breaking with every tear she shed.

Spencer: "Ashley are you-"

Ashley: "Don’t. Don’t say anything to me."

They’re voices were forced whispers.

Ashley: "Please Spencer just..just go away."

???: "Hey! I think the blood leads over here!"

Ashley: "You should get out of here."

Spencer: "No, not without you."

Ashley: "Spencer, please, go away. Please. I need you to get out of here."

Spencer: "Ash, I’d do anything for you-"

???: "Hey! come on, I found a strand of hair!"

Spencer started to run down the alleyway. ashley was still standing up against the wall, trying not to throw up again. The blonde looked back once and disappeared up a fire escape. She saw the paramedics cringe when they saw Courtney’s body and wheel in a stretcher. She could see Ashley’s tears hit the ground and hear her soft sobbing throug the air. And there was nothing she could do about it.

Ashley: "Wait! Please, can I..can I just-"

???: "Sure. But don’t take long okay?"

Ashley crouched down on the ground and pulled the hair out of Courtney’s face and kissed her forehead.

Ashley: "I’m so sorry baby.."

A few tears slipped onto Courtney’s face. Ashley wiped them off gently and kissed her again.

???: "Excuse me?"

Ashley looked up and saw a paramedic directing his attention to her.

???: "Uhh, we were going to search her body, but we’d like you to. If you want to. For anything you might want, like a necklace, braclet, or something like that."

Ashley nodded her head and reached her hands into Courtney’s pockets. She pulled out a razor blade, a red bandana, and a silver cross.

???: "That all?"

Ashley nodded her head. With one last kiss on her lips, she let Courtney be put in a body bag. The detectives came over to her, yet again.

Benson: "Ashley, tell us the truth. We have bus load of witnesses who-"

Ashley: "Don’t matter."

Stabler: "….Fuck, listen! Tell us-"

Ashley: "Nope."

Benson: "Ashley don’t let her get away with this!"

Ashley: "…"

Ashley put the stuff in her pocket and walked past them.

Benson: "ashley!"

She kept walking.

Stabler: "Ashley! We can help you!"

She kept walking.
