“Why thank you, Ms. Davies,” said Spencer with a smile. It’s good to know that I have a chivalrous girlfriend.

“No problem, Ms. Carlin,” Ashley replied as she kissed Spencer sweetly on the lips. Spencer smiled and returned the kiss. Ashley stopped the kiss and went to her seat.

“So it looks like we pretty much have the place to ourselves,” observed Spencer. When was the last time you came here with your Dad?

“Yes, we do,” Ashley stated. I came here with him about three or four years ago. The reason why we have the place to ourselves is that I have reserved the whole restaurant for us and our night.

“You did?” asked a surprised Spencer.

“Yep, it’s good to have an aging rock star as a father,” Ashley answered.

“Yes, I can see that,” observed Spencer.

“Seriously, I just wanted our date to be special because you are special to me,” explained Ashley as she took Spencer’s hands into her own.

“It is,” stated Spencer sweetly. Even if you hadn’t gone and went all out for me, it would’ve been a perfect night just because I was with you.

“Thanks,” Ashley said with a smile.

“You’re welcome,” replied Spencer returning the smile.

The owner of the restaurant appeared. “Ashley Davies, it’s been awhile since you’ve last come here,” the owner stated. What’s going on?

“Yeah, I’ve just been trying to work on my music,” responded Ashley. I hope that I could get my first album soon.

“Like father, like daughter,” the owner noted.

“Yep,” agreed Spencer.

“What is tonight’s occasion?” the owner questioned. I see you brought a friend with you.

“I’m here with my beautiful girlfriend on our second date,” responded Ashley simply.

“Yes, I can see that,” the owner began. She must be pretty special to you if you brought her to where you and Raife used to come when you were younger.

“She really is,” stated Ashley as she looked at Spencer.

“What would you like to order, ladies?” the owner asked.

“I’ll have the steak and a coke,” responded Ashley.

“What about you?” asked the owner.

“Well, everything on your menu looks good,” Spencer commented as she was looking over the menu.

“Trust me it tastes even better,” stated Ashley. You’re in good hands.

“I’ll go have a cheeseburger then and a water,” Spencer said.

“Alright coming right up,” said the owner and left.

“You came here more than once in awhile with your Dad,” Spencer smiled. The owner knows you here.

“It’s not really a big deal,” pointed out Ashley. The owner is good friends with my Dad.

“Yes, it is a big deal,” Spencer stated. I can’t believe you reserved the whole place for our date.

“So this is okay?” asked Ashley with concern. If it’s not, we could…

“It’s more than okay,” Spencer answered. You really are full of wonderful surprises, Ashley Davies.

“Thank you,” smiled Ashley. I am glad you think that.

“I really don’t deserve everything you’ve done for me tonight,” Spencer stated.

“Yes, you do,” responded Ashley. You’re my girl and deserve only the best since you are the best. Spencer smiled.

“Likewise, Ash,” Spencer said. So how long have you been planning this date for? I know that you didn’t come up with this overnight.

“For awhile,” replied Ashley simply.

“What’s awhile?” Spencer questioned.

“I rather not say,” responded Ashley. I don’t want you to laugh or anything.

“I won’t,” Spencer said reassuringly. I promise.

“Okay, the answer is a couple of years,” replied Ashley.

“A couple of years?” Spencer questioned. Wow.

“Yeah,” said Ashley. It doesn’t make me sound pathetic?

“Not at all,” Spencer replied. You really are one of a kind.

Awhile later, Ashley walked Spencer to her door. “Thanks for tonight,” Spencer stated. I had a really good time and it was all because of you.

“No problem,” smiled Ashley. I’m glad that you had a good time. I had a good time, too since I was with you.
