For the Love of Bella
“Jasper, what are you staring at? It isn’t as if you haven’t seen my body before. Besides, don’t you need to get dressed?” The blush left her face and she was standing there, looking amazing. Her hands were on her hips and now she was glaring at me.
“Ah Bells, those times were different. Looking at you now, I realize that I have never fully appreciated you. At least not in a way that would make me want to jump you. Friends or not.” She blushed again. OK, so even getting glimpses of her naked body from time to time had nothing on this. Just staring at her accentuated body features with what little clothes she had on was enough to make me realize that I have never truly seen her before. She was unbelievably hot.
She didn’t say anything as she stood there glaring at me. I figured I should go. “Alright gorgeous. I don’t know what has gotten into you. You look as if you are optimistic about having a good time tonight. I won’t be the one to ruin it for you. It’s good to see that you appear willing to have fun tonight. Well, I better be off. As you said, I need to get ready. I have to admit, I now wish that I was dressed as a knight, instead of Jessie James.”
With one more sweep with my eyes over her from head to toe, I left her room and entered mine. Just before I closed my door she yelled at my back.
“I’ll be waiting, Mr. Outlaw.”
Now what was that supposed to mean? Not having time to ask her to elaborate, I closed my door and headed for the shower to get ready.
BPOV
Did I really just say that? I couldn’t help but smile at the closed door in front of me. Jasper, Jasper, Jasper. You need a girlfriend. It was true though. I took extra time this afternoon getting ready. I decided to put more effort into it than normal. I even dug out an old black garter and leggings. If I was going to put this costume on, I mine as well finish it. I was completely dressing the part. If Emmett wanted a medieval sex kitten, here I was.
It was odd. Right now my heart barely ached at the thought of Edward. As if, by putting this costume on, I realized that I had been living in a shell. A shell of a life, one filled with no excitement or spontaneity. For the first time in a very long time, I felt like I had complete and utter control of myself. To say the least, I felt invigorated. A newfound power for fun was found in me and I was excited about exploring it.
