End of Innocence
Kyla and Aiden are growing pretty close. I’m happy for them. They haven’t officially came out and said they’re dating, but a few minutes alone with them and you know there’s no need for the words. Kind of like me and Ash. They’re not as awesome of course, but it appears love is there. Thanks to Christine, no one knew she existed. So there’s no way Aiden could’ve known during all that time he pining for Ash, but Kyla seems to be the Davies girl for him.
Then, there’s this new TV show. Man, I never thought a TV show would take up so much space in my brain, but anyone who’s seen it understands everyone else might think its crazy, but oh well. At first it was that cool show everyone at school was watching, but I try not to base my life on what everyone else is doing. So I didn’t pay attention.
Ash and Kyla started talking about it. So, I thought there must be something to it if they like it, but I didn’t watch it. Then finally, I saw a commercial for it, and was like holy shit! It did look really good. There’s practically nothing a teen or anyone for that matter, can go through that isn’t in this show. It’s the first show ever to feature two gay teens as main characters. So naturally there’s homophobia. Also, peer pressure, military, racism, stepfamilies, sex, contraception, pregnancy, miscarriages, abortion, adoption, arrests drugs, drinking, hate crimes, domestic violence, cheating, college, religion, and death. As fast as my brain is going right now, I’m probably forgetting something, but the show is amazing!
A lot of it hits home, like every time someone starts drama with Ash and I ,or Anna and Belle, as well as, of when Madison decided to spread that rumor that Glen was gay, and the backlash he got when practically everyone in the school believed it even though he’s not. Then, Anna and Belle came out, and the same things started to happen only this time is worse because they actually have to deal with being lesbians in high school. I’m glad there’s a show like End of Innocents there for us! I’m proud of Glen too because of his experience he is always there to stick up for the four of us girls! I wonder why the show is called End of Innocence. Probably because once you hit high school, any shred of innocence you had left from childhood is taken from you.
Raife did sell their old house and decided to follow through on his thought about donating the money he made from the sale to a charity. He donated every cent he made from the sale.
