Cruel Intentions – (Chapter: Chapter 7)

    Chapter 7

Ashley walked into the gates of the school leisurely, and looked around for Spencer. She hadn’t seen Spencer earlier and so she decided to skip the whole day and ditched. After a few moments she spotted her at the main campus bulletin board.

“Hey, where you been all day?” Ashley asked, lightly grazing Spencer’s arm with her hand.

“Oh, hi…” Spencer said awkwardly, turning to walk away.

“What’s wrong?” Ashley asked, walking in step with the girl.

“Well, it’s just…It’s stupid, ok? But I started cheerleading yesterday and Madison is the captain and I told her I missed school yesterday because I was hanging out with you. Then she said that you have a reputation of ‘breaking in girls.’” Spencer said, doing the “quotation fingers.”

Ashley cursed under her breath. Madison had been in one of her top three hottest affairs ever…until Ashley started bragging about it. One time when she was drunk at a club and her ex Aiden was bragging about Madison in the sack, Ashley decided she’d just help him a bit by mentioning all the stuff he left out. Next thing you know, Madison is convincing everyone that she was jus experimenting and Ashley made up a bunch of stuff. And so they were enemies forever more.

“Look Madison just has a little grudge against me. Don’t hold it against me.” Ashley said, smiling sweetly.

“So, it’s not true?” Spencer asked.

“Well…not true anymore…” Ashley said. “Look, I really want to be friends with you. Can’t we just have that?” Spencer thought for what seemed to Ashley like ages.

“Yeah…ok.” Spencer finally said, with a smile.

“Great!” Ashley said, a little to excitedly. “So, seeing as you’re new here, I bet no one has given you a tour of the campus.” Spencer nodded. “Well, great let’s go right now.” Ashley offered up her arm for Spencer to take. Spencer stared at her for a long moment before finally linking her arm with Ashley’s. And with that, they were gone.
