Cheer – (Chapter: Crime and Punishment)

All three of us were silent as we stared at her, mouths slightly agape.

Rachel began chewing on the inside of her cheek shuffling her feet in a childlike manner and said in her defense. “Things were getting intense…Sorry.” She shrugged again.

“Whatever” Carlin said as she slumped back in her chair just as the door to Fish’s office opened.

I saw Aiden stumble out in front of Kyla who had kicked him in the shin in a tizzy huff and I asked the both of them, hopping out of my seat, “What’s the verdict?”

“He suspended us for two weeks!” Kyla shrieked letting out a loud pronounced groan that would grate anyone’s nerves.

“Damn, Kyla could you get any more ultra sonic?” Ashley asked rubbing her ear.

“Yes!” She yelped in her squeaky voice.

Aiden was especially somber by the news that he would be out of school, and therefore without the buffer of other people to protect him from his slightly crazed girlfriend. I felt bad for the idiot man-child, as he was known, when he told us, “You guys better get in there. Fish ain’t happy. Not happy at all.”

“All four of us?”  I asked because normally punishment would be doled out individually.

Aiden nodded solemnly shuffling toward the door leading to the hallway, Kyla yipping at him like a lap dog, or maybe a rabid pit bull.

I felt like I was in a warped version of The Wizard of Oz as the cheerleader, the cold bitch and the drugged pasty girl made their way into see the principal. I followed in after them with my head hung low knowing this was not going to go well.

“Just stand right there.” Principal Donnie Fish was sitting at his subpar composite wood desk writing, not looking up to even notice if all of us had entered, and there we stood in silence in a perfect little row.

Well, not exactly perfect. It was only a moment passing until Rachel was slowly approaching Mr. Fish. I was watching her in disbelief as she was tilting her head to the side with a confused look on her face. If I had to guess, it looked like she was trying to read the piece of paper he was writing on. That was until the bobble head distracted her.

    1. woooow awesome update!..i really like Rachel she is so funny hahaha..and i’m wondering if something is gonna be happening between her and chels!..omg!..detention should be interesting!..haha..PMS!..

    2. no apologies necessary, I’m just glad you’re back at it with this story! as for me the last thing I remember was detention and I think kate was kicking the back of spencer’s chair or something and ashley told her to stop it which surprised the hell out of everyone there. I’m pretty sure that’s the last chap I remember reading. anyway loved this update as usual and of course rachel was great with her ‘fish’ mix ups. pms!

    3. That was supposed to be “lovin'” not “login'” above. And now that I look back on it… There does seem to be something between Chels and Rachel. But Chels is just really kind and understanding so I unno.
