CHASING CARS: EDWARD'S VERSION.
–
Jasper and myself were starting our trip to Seattle to get our new fake IDs and get the hell out of Forks again. We had to leave because Jasper couldn't crack the new age technology, or steal the documents on Carlisle from the Forks General Hospital, like before. This pissed Carlisle off, and a pissed off Carlisle is one to stay away from. So now, after he had thrown his tempter tantrum, he sent me out with Jasper (due to the fact I might run away again) so we could get things ready for Alaska.
We were on township 104 by now, and in Alice's yellow Porsche that she forced me to buy her after she saved my undead life in Volterra. I had gone there in hopes to be killed by the Volturi when this mysterious new member shows up, knowing my name, and kicks me AND my family out of the city forever. That sent me for a loop, she even told me I would be fire kindling if I didn't get out while I still could! It was odd, something about that girl, she seemed like someone I knew, but I couldn't place it.
I sighed, knowing it was hurting me even after ninety-two years to even think about Bella and my suicide trip to Volterra. Jasper, my accomplice in crime glanced over at me, with raised eyebrows. "Still hurts, doesn't it?" he asked, even though he could feel my longing and my pain, he HAD to ask that stupid question. He asked everyday actually, and my answer was always the same. I would always nod my head and would walk away. This time though, I couldn't hide in my shell, so I just let out an exasperated sigh and nodded. He let it drop there as another car going 50 MPH came flying down the highway.
Upon seeing the Volvo, of golden hue, we slowed down and came to a stop, just like the other car did. We were directly across from the other one, pulling the car into park, I exited the car followed by Jasper, who didn't feel a bit worried or scared by the new vampire. She wore dark sun glasses as she approached, not bothering to speak yet. That would be my sign to talk, I guess.
