Ashley: And that’s what led to what happened. The fact you couldn’t let things go. I loved you Spencer. My god, do you know how much I loved you? What I would have done for you? Aiden was my family. The only thing I had left that was stable. My father died. My mother could have cared less. Your mother and brother detested me. And I got a half sister I didn’t even know existed. Aiden was the only thing that remained stable in my life. So, yea, I leaned on him. Went to him. Yea, I felt something for him. But it wasn’t what you thought. I loved him like a brother. Every time I went to him, after we got into a fight, he always came to your defense. Never mine. He would tell me how foolish I was, and how if I didn’t straighten up, I would lose you. He thought, like everyone else, I was going to be the one to hurt you. Not once did they think it could have been you. I saw you slowly drift away from me. I wasn’t stupid. You mother was getting to you. Glen was getting to you. You were pulling away from me. Than I thought, wow, Aiden was right. I better straighten up, before I lose you. Than prom came, and I thought it was going to be the best night of our lives. The thing to put our relationship back on track. Than Aiden declares his love, thugs start shooting up the school, and than I lost you. That night, when I screamed Aiden’s name…it was to get you. I was too far away, and I knew you were going to get hurt, so I screamed for Aiden to get you. I guess you thought I had chosen. But I didn’t. I know you know that now. I know you know there was never a choice to be made. It was you. It always has been. And always would be.

(Both girls were sitting on the bed. Both equally drained from the nights events. Everything was out in the open. Almost everything. One thing still remained. And it demanded an answer.)

Spencer: You said I could have came home, or that I should have called. But you knew….(Ashley looks at her) You knew where I was the whole time didn’t you? I know you did. I told you all the time how the happiest moments of my life was in Texas with my grandparents. You knew I was there for the last five years. So, why did Kyla come now? Answer me that.

(There it was. The question waited to be asked. The one question with the answer, neither girl equipped, could handle. Ashley stared at Spencer, while trying to formulate a response that would be worthy enough of an answer. This was the one question that could make or break them. And each girl knew it. They have came so far, and now it was one question that was holding there fate. One question that could make or break everything they stood for. One answer, that held their fate in it’s hand. They both looked at one another, trying to see what the other was thinking. Ashley took a deep breath in, and than began to answer.)
