Bringing it Home – (Chapter: 24: End of a Dry Spell)

The ‘new Ashley’ decided to do her home work rather than go through any more boxes. After realising that my stereo was still packed I resigned myself to studying in silence. Hmmm, it wasn’t so bad if you actually listened in class. So that’s where I’d been going wrong all these years! Setting aside my books on the large desk I returned to the boxes, I’d come across some things I wanted to look through properly. The box was heavy but at 5′ 3” I was pretty strong for my size so I easily carried it over to my bed. That was one condition I’d had when moving here, I wanted a new bed. My old one could be burnt for all I cared, it had seen way too much to be allowed to sell it’s stories. Plus the idea of sleeping on a bed that I knew full well had been used by various ‘guests’ for who knows what turned my stomach.
Tipping my prize onto the bed, I jumped on and sat in a sea of photographs. When my dad died I’d de-personalised, finding it easier to cope without the constant reminder of happier times. Me being me I had taken this to extremes and had ended up shutting out anything and everything that had once meant something to me, my friends, my family yeah right! My music had also been laid aside along with all these memories spread out around me now. This was a big step for me but the new surroundings were helping. I used to do this all the time and was constantly changing the pictures on display in my room. I’d had so many favourites that I’d rotated them and still added new ones all the time. This box didn’t contain any pictures of my dad, I couldn’t face those yet and had left them packed away until a time when I could deal.
Sifting through the images and faces I picked out a few that I thought could go back up, one hurdle at a time. In this case it really was part of a ten step programme. I was very tired now and knew I had to go to school tomorrow. That was another part of the deal for my lodgings, no truancy or cutting classes of any kind. I had no recollection of when, if ever, I’d done a full day at school. Well, except today of course! Yawning I grabbed the small pile I wanted to keep out and pushed the rest over to the edge of the bed. I was so tired and was ready to sleep, flicking through them before I shut out the light I could only hope I hadn’t fucked up beyond forgiveness, I had a feeling I’d come fucking close.

so who is ashley staying with? that is one of the big questions, dang she didn’t catch spence and addy in the act dang amy but that might be for the best at the moment pms

oh shizzle, i can tell this is gunna be good! and maybe even awkward. i mean, w/all of spencer’s girls and then ashley, that’s sure to be a big jumbled mess and sure to leave a few hearts slightly chipped (not broken) if not smudged, you know? and just let me say, ~YEAH AMY~!! Did i mention i luvs me some amy? yeah? really? well there it is again. would it be asking for too much to have one more spencer/amy sex scene? please please please? i’ll do whatever you want; ain’t too proud to beg! haha anyway, great update i enjoy your writing very very much and i cant wait to see how this story plays out.

Thank you for updating, it was really, really great. I identify with Ashley a little too much right now, but despite my current bad mood, it actually made me feel a lot better reading this and seeing and feeling Ashley’s emotions. ok i finaly caught up i thought i never would seeing as it seemed everytime i read a chapeter you updated lol :P but m glad i think i understand whats going on just not to sure yet lol anyways everything was freakn awsome lol long but awsome lol :P i loved everysingle bit of it and now when i hear more great stuff about it i can say “yah i read that love it” lol anways its 416 am and i need sleep just couldnt resst readng this when saw it was the last lol anyways pms please im loving it!!! lol
