“Baby?” I whispered just as my lips made contact with hers.

The instant our lips touched Kyla was forgotten. Her hands on my body were all that mattered. The feeling of our bodies touching made everything else disappear.

I could barely hear the door open again then slam.

“Ash?…. Mm baby.. Nooo I have to go… ASHLEY!”

Ashley’s head popped out of the covers.

“Wud I do?” she asked, her hair a complete mess, her eyes drowsy, nonetheless her face sported a big smile when she saw me. “Hey baby.”

Suddenly her hand slid on my body up to my face as she gently pulled me in. Her smell intoxicating, her lips soft and urgent.

As her hands and lips almost made me forget what I was meaning to do the shrill ring of my phone broke our connection.

“I’m going to kill that thing right after Kyla.” Ashley muttered bitterly as she lifted herself up the sheet clinging to her body as she reached over and handed me my cell phone.

I looked down at the screen. Checking the call I just missed.

I couldn’t help but smile at the nickname for my brother. Right when I was going to call him back a text came through.

Yup. It was from Clay.bear.

I looked up at Ashley. She was running her fingers through her hair catching the tangles our actions had caused. I felt myself instantly smile.

Slowly she looked up, her eyes shining in the light that slowly made it’s way in from her thick curtains. I could feel myself become fixed on her and only her. The fact that my stupid brother was in the hospital didn’t matter. My parents didn’t matter. Nothing mattered. Only her.

“Oh my god Ashley. My mom is going to kiiiilll me!” I said as we made our way to the hospital.

The clock on her dashboard read 3:49.

I told my mom would be there 4 hours ago.

I should have factored in the fact that Ashley was kissing my neck and holding my close to her with other things on her mind.

“Baby, you should have told me Ass Eyes was in the hospital… I would have stopped…”

I looked at her in disbelief. She had a smirk on her face.

“… sooner?” she questioned.

“Right Ash. I’m sure you would have.” I leant over and kissed her cheek. Her hand found its way to mine, our fingers intertwining. Perfection.

I finally feel like I’m complete. Ashley makes me feel complete. I couldn’t help but stare at her. Her curls blowing gently. The aviator shades she wore complimented her wonderfully. Her beautiful face, her nose her lips that I kissed countless times since last night.

Suddenly she was pulling her sunglasses off. Her golden brown eyes met mine. A smile gracing her lips.

“We’re here, Spence.”

Noticing the Hospital my mother worked at around us I couldn’t stop the frown on my face.

“Hey…” Ashley’s hand cupped my face then tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. “What’s wrong baby?”

My hand reached for hers taking it and holding it semi tightly.

“I’m going to miss you, Ash.”

Her lips formed a half smile. “Well I’ll see you soon Spence. I can’t be away from you for too long.”

I want to kiss her so bad. I want nothing more than to reach over and pull her in. to feel her lips on my own once again. To continue today in our own bubble we created around ourselves. To block everything and everyone out. Just her and I.

Instead we settled for a squeeze of our hands, and her smile grew as I squeezed her hand back.

I watched her watch me as I walked into the hospital. Her golden brown eyes hidden once again by those sunglasses I love. The smile on her face was contagious I couldn’t help the one that I had.

And again we were in that bubble I mentioned before. The bubble of just us. Just Ashley and Spencer.
