Artistic Awakening – (Chapter: Chapter 10 part I)

The front man of the band goes and straps on his guitar, strumming out the first few chords, starting the song.

Must be your skin that I’m sinkin in
Must be for real cause now I can feel

(Ashley POV: Spencer began to sway a bit, the feeling of her pressed against me was almost like sweet torture. I bit at my bottom lip, closing my eyes as I began to move with her, moving to the melody. I felt her breathe hot against my ear, I couldn’t take it anymore. I retracted myself from her arms and turned to look at her. Her eyebrow furrowed and her eyes held a slight sadness from the distance I had put between us. I moved towards her and she smiled, reaching out grabbing me by the hips and pulling me towards. My breath hitched as our centers made contact and a small moan escaped from her lips. She was being more aggressive than usual, it was different but very nice, almost like she gained a sense of comfort being so close to me. I wrapped my arms around her and her hands at my hips gave them a little squeeze as she smiled bringing her forehead to my own. I loved this feeling…our bodies began to move in sync again. Like is was meant to feel like this…move like this…our bodies as one.)

    And I didn’t mind
    It’s not my kind
Not my time to wonder why
    Everything’s gone white
    And everything’s grey
Now your here now you away
    I don’t want this
    Remember that
I’ll never forget where your at
Don’t let the days go by
    Glycerine

    I’m never alone
    I’m alone all the time
    Are you at one
    Or do you lie
    We live in a wheel
    Where everyone steals
But when we rise it’s like strawberry fields

    If I treated you bad
    You bruise my face
    Couldn’t love you more
    You got a beautiful taste
Don’t let the days go by
Could have been easier on you
    I coudn’t change though I wanted to
Could have been easier by three
Our old friend fear and you and me
    Glycerine
    Glycerine
Don’t let the days go by
    Glycerine

    I needed you more
    When we wanted us less
I could not kiss just regress
    It might just be
    Clear simple and plain
    That’s just fine
That’s just one of my names
Don’t let the days go by
    Could’ve been easier on you
    Glycerine

    Ashley’s POV:

I saw her smile as the song died down. I turned around again, letting her arms take their place wrapped around me again. I felt her nose nuzzle the skin of my neck, placing a feather-like kiss there. My smile widened and I turned my head a bit to look at her to see her smiling as well.

    1. OMG YES!!! I love this fan fic. I haven’t been able to get it out of my head ever since I started reading it early this morning. Its soooooo gooooooood. please pms. preferably now haha

    2. for some reason I had lost track of this fic, so I’m rereading it all now, although actually most of it is new to me, since I stopped for some reason at about chapter 8 or so. anyway, I wanted to say that I loved this chap, especially because back in ’99 when I saw Bush at woodstock, I fell in love while they performed this song! since then it’s had a very special place in my heart, so I completely understood where ash’s head was at. anyway, I LOVE THIS FIC!
