    A World Apart

    Ch. 9- The Final Chapter

Alright, because of the poor comments and ratings I’m making the last chapter. I’m going to go back to doing what I do best: reading. Lastly, to whoever wants to write but doesn’t think they can, go for it. I’ll just say this: It’s very hard. Anyone can continue off of my story if they want to, but I want some credit if they decide to continue it. In a month or so I might decide to continue my story. I promise that if I do, it will be more focused on Spashley. Good luck to everyone, and have a nice life. Now, without further ado, the last chapter.

I had been pacing back and forth in my room for an unfathomable amount of time. My mood was poor. Spencer was gone, and when she was coming back was uncertain. I had no doubt they would get her back. The question would be, can they get her back alive. I’m no cop, but I’d seen my fair share of movies. The kidnappers always want something. If it was money, I’d be all set. The weather outside matched my mood. It was a light drizzle, with heavily overcast clouds. I was so confused. Why me? What did I do to deserve this? I was getting tired, so I decided to sit down on my bed. As soon as I leaned back and closed my eyes, I was asleep.

It has now been a day since Spencer had been kidnapped. I hadn’t received any news from the kidnappers yet. I also hadn’t even left my house since the incident. I was so worried about her that I couldn’t even fathom what gad happened. Alright, I need to stop worrying, standing here doing nothing isn’t going to help her. I thought. I’ll start by going to the store for groceries. I was going to have to take my life one step at a time.

I had put on my makeup and was about to leave the house when I heard the phone ring. As I picked it up I heard a deep voice on the other side. “Hello?” I asked whoever was calling me.

“Hello Ms. Davies. You don’t know who I am, but I know you. I have Spencer, and don’t try to contact the cops. I can see every single action you make, so don’t try to do anything tricky. Now listen to me. I want $10 million dollars, and a ride out of the country. Preferably a car or something inconspicuous. If you can do all this without telling the cops, you can have Spencer. However, if you do tell the cops, Spencer becomes a permanent addition to the bottom of the ocean. I hope you understand how serious I am Ms. Davies. Good evening.”
