Lyla: It would be nice and that’s all I’m saying.
Spencer: You are the biggest brat I’ve ever met.
Lyla rolled her eyes.
Lyla: I’ll take that as a compliment and move on.
Spencer: I was thinking, you and I haven’t had a shopping day in forever and make it’s time we have one. If you’re feeling up it that is.
Lyla shoved Spencers leg off of her and jumped to her feet.
Lyla: Give me 10 minutes and I’ll be ready!
Running up the steps, Lyla caught a glimpse of herself in mirror and spun back toward her friend.
Lyla: Uh, better make that 15.
Spencer: Let’s say 20. As much as I love you, I refuse to take you out with that breath.
Lyla clutched her heart.
Lyla: You are so sweet Spence. No wonder Ashley likes you so much!
She disappeared up the steps and Spencer went to the kitchen.
Spencer looked straight a head to find a familiar face glaring back at her. She froze right where she was.
Spencer: How long have you been standing there?
Glen: Just long enough to know that you and Ashley have decided to take it slow.
Spencer: Shit. Glen, it’s not like that.
Glen: Listen Spence, I know that everyone thinks I’m as dumb as sand…
Spencer: Umm, you mean dumb as rocks.
Glen shook his head in frustration.
Glen: Whatever. All I’m saying is I know what I heard and what I heard was that you and Ashley have decided to cool down and just be friends.
Spencer sat down and buried her head in her hands.
Glen: When did this happen? Were you always gay?
Spencer: I don’t know Glen.
Spencer couldn’t believe this was happening now. Things had been going so well and now this.
Glen: I just can’t believe you! What about Danny?
Spencer: I’m breaking it off…
Glen: Mom and Dad are going to kill you. That is if mom doesn’t try an exorcism on you first.
Spencer: Glen…
Glen: And what about me? Where you ever gonna tell me?

i loved the update! but what i really loved was chelsea just casually telling clay “spencer’s gay” like it was no big deal and it was old news anyways lol PMS!

Oh Lyla is a whole mess of fun. She is a better comic relief than Madison. I especially liked the scene with Madison twirling her gum and the silverware. Good times. Glen, I am not surprised, he is like that and of course Clay being supportive as usual. No surprises. I am surprised by this “friend” thing. I doubt that will last very long.
Yes, Badonna is a take on ‘Madonna.’ The 80’s Madonna of course not this new fangled, 4-minute Madonna – bunch of bullshit is what that is. Anyway, my ob-session with 80’s Madonna led on of my college roommates to put the first letter of my name, B obviously, in front to replace the M. And then when I came out and no one was surprised I asked how everyone knew and the reply came back: “Madonna.” Apparently it was apparent to everyone else that I wanted to be WITH Madonna (80’s Madonna!!!) not LIKE Madonna. I just wish that since everyone else had it all figured out for me someone could’ve let me in on the little secret!! ;) So when I signed up for this site, no other name seemed more appropriate… LOVED this chapter. I haven’t always wanted an older brother like Clay. I guess I’ll settle for a Father who reacted the same way (except my dad also gave me a high five!) and maybe…. a second date???

Wow, Glen had me scared there for a while. I’m glad good ol’ Chelsea was there to calm him down. I love Chelsea. She’s awesome. And Lyla is super funny. BTW, sorry I haven’t posted comments on the last few chapters. Forgive me? PMASAP

Seriously, how old is Glenn, 5? “I’m going to tell Mom & Dad.” WTH!? Ah man, I was so excited that Spencer woke up alone, but then you had to have Ashley leave her a note! Damn it! That is why “dry run at the club” means, at least in my mind, ‘having HOT, dirty, nasty sex with a HOT woman who knows who she is and what she wants (Ashley)!” You had Ashley forgive Spencer too easily. Remember, Spencer should be suffering. Finally, for the club gig, I am picturing that scene in “Chasing Amy” where Affleck thinks Joey Lauren Adams is singing to him, but she is really singing to the HOT blonde. I would love to have Spencer think Ashley is singing to her only for her to realize that Ashley is singing to her favorite groupie that she hooks up with whenever she is in town!
Just read both updates and Lyla is so funny she reminds me of my best friend. So Spencer’s finally out to everyone in the house and on good terms with Ashley. Glens an ass but its all good because clay will kick his ass. Great Updates
good update, glen is such an ass, have a brother 1 year older too, and he acted all stupid when he found out – just like glen, except he did go to our parents instead of talking to me first, so guess glen could be worse. PMS

Ok first of all I want to apologize to you because I think I short changed you with my boring comment on your last chapter. I really enjoyed this chapter alot considering there was a family heart to heart that included Glen hopefully accpeting Spence for who she is. I also think that everyone should have a friend like Lyla in their lives. Hopefully we see alittle more Ash and Spence bonding in the next chapter? Anyways great job as always and can’t wait for another update! =)
