    “Bette?….Whats it like for you….Bing with a woman?”

    As Tina returned to the table, she over heard the end of a conversation between Alice and Shane, "I mean, I think Dana is a total cutie, but she’s so not even interested in me."

     

    Tina looked around, "So….sorry to interrupt, but you’re like gay"?"

     

    Alice looked at her, "What? No…I’m bi."

     

    "Oh and Bette…"

     

    "No, now Bette’s gay."

     

    "Oh…"

     

    "Wait you didn’t know? You can’t tell?"

     

    "Well I thought maybe Shane but…you two don’t even look like….you know?"

     

    Bette sat down giving Tina her croissant. "Does it make you uncomfortable?" Alice asked.

     

    "No…no I’ve known gay people before….it’s cool."

     

    Bette looked around the table as an uncomfortable silence ensued.  Tina took a bite of her breakfast roll, "Well guys, it was really nice to meet you.  I guess I need to start unpacking my stuff, but we should maybe hang out sometime.  Bette?" Tina held up her half eaten croissant,"Thanks." Tina smiled as she ducked out of the cafe.

     

    "Way to go, Alice….scare her off."

     

    "What? How was I supposed to know she was a straight chick?  I mean she looked pretty flirty with you up there,  why I don’t know cuz you’re kind of a dick today. But besides, it’s not like she wouldn’t find out sooner or later…hello she’s sharing a room with you.  I thought you didn’t even like her.  I thought she was ‘too annoying and sweet‘ or was that your opinion until you got a look at her goods? Yeah I saw you checkin it out. Hips don’t lie….you know what I’m saying?"

     

    "Alright Alice shut up….you’re right I looked who wouldn’t, now forget it.  Sorry Shane." Bette looked apologetically at her friend.

     

    "No worries man, we can share right?"

     

    "Ew that’s gross! Shane, that’s like incestuous or something….Ugh! The thought of you and Bette."

     

    "Alice, I was joking.  You know, I would never cross that line with either one of you."

     

    Alice placed her hand on top of Shane’s, "Aw….Shane thanks for politley letting us know you’re repulsed by the thoughts of sleeping with us."

     

    Bette Laughed,"So what are you guys plans for later tonight?"

     

    "You know me I don’t make plans." Shane stated.
