Chapter 7

Both Tina and Bette went to bed smiling. And they still smiled the next morning.

But unfortunately they didn`t get any chance to see each other the next day.

Both were occupied with their students all day, and when Bette finally had some time to go and eat in the cafeteria, Tina had just left.

The smile that they had started the day with, was gone at the end of it.

Tina was exhausted after her day, and sad that she did not get to see Bette. She did not know if Bette had gotten her note. At least I get to see her tomorrow, because we have to agree on when to meet up on Friday.

She walked over the parking to her car. When she got closer she saw a note attached to the wipers. Damn, I have just had a bad day, and now I get a parking ticket. This is just the worst day ever.           She grabbed the ticket, and got inside the car. She opened the ticket and her anger immediately vanished.

     – Missed seeing you today –

Bette was  home, going over the curriculum on final time. She had a hard time concentrating, cause her mind was on Tina. It had been a hectic day at work, and she had not gotten to see Tina at all. She had hoped to get a glimpse of her at the cafeteria, but no luck. I hope at least she finds my note.

Suddenly somebody knocked on the door. Who would come by this late she thought and walked to the door. She opened, and outside stood a delivery boy.

 “Are you Elisabeth Porter?” he asked.

“Yes I am”

“Got a delivery for you Ms Porter”

He gave her a beautiful bouquet of lilies.

Bette tipped him, and closed the door.

In between the lilies there was a card. She put the flowers in a vase and opened the card.

              – I miss you too –

Bette noticed that Tina had left out the word seeing. She felt warm inside. This day did not end so badly after all.

Tina had overslept. And came to the school in a total mess. This is just great. I am going to see Bette today, and I look like a hurricane has blown over me.  She got to her classroom, just before her students entered.
