    Tina explains her guilty conscience.

    Chapter Nine

    Tina awoke still in sleeping Bette’s arms. She just laid there staring into Bette’s closed eyes. She loved her more than anything and still felt this insistent need to prove to Bette that she didn’t want what those guys told Bette she wanted. She loved Bette and she never even looked at those guys until they began to come near her. She needed to prove that to Bette, and after what happened with Henry so many years ago, why would Bette believe her. She told her that she wasn’t having feelings for men then, but she was. Now how am I supposed to prove to her this time is different? She had to some how, any way.
    Suddenly Bette awoke staring into the beautiful pair of hazel eyes she’d ever seen, but today they seemed darker, dark with thought, dark with guilt, dark with worry.

    “What’s the matter baby?”

    “Nothing, absolutely nothing. I love you!”

    “There is something wrong, I can see it in your eyes. Just tell me Tina.”

    “Alright, but your not going to like it.”

    “Baby don’t protect me, that’s my job.”

    Tina and Bette swallowed simultaneously. Tina look deep into Bette’s eyes pondering what she was about to tell her if she was able to take it. 

    “Babe, I swear to GOD that I didn’t want it, I didn’t I swear. I just I was trying to get some air when I was Phoebe come in, and I just think that you think that maybe I did because of the stuff that happened with H..”

    Bette put her finger up to Tina’s lip for two reasons. One, she knew exactly where this was going and she hadn’t even thought that for a minute, and two because she really couldn’t take listening to that name right now.

    “Tee, not for a minute did I think that, not for a second even.”

    “Then why wouldn’t you make love to me last night, I figured it was because of that, because a man had touched me.”

    “Tina?! I told you, I wanted to make love to you so bad last night. I was growing wet with just the kisses. But I knew that at your state that it wouldn’t be beneficial to you. It had absolutely nothing to do with me.”

    1. WOW!!! That was very intense!!! Tina will need to get some help in dealing with everything that happened to her. Bette will help all she can but Tina really needs to talk with someone. Great Update!!! Thank you PPS
