CHAPTER 97
Tina could see them…The way they stared at her…The glint in their eyes was feral…
Almost predatory…
They were just biding their time…
Waiting to pounce…
God! – She had only stopped outside the club for a few minutes to phone Kayleigh and ask a favour…She had only left her for a short time, and already the ‘wannabes’ or was it wannabette’s were flocking around her like nobodies business!!
Even though the blonde was more than aware of the effect Bette Porter had on women…Well somehow it still managed to astound her…
Her lover seamlessly attracted a fanclub no matter where she went, and tonight was no different…
But the brunette was as usual, oblivious to the commotion she stirred when she walked into a bar…She genuinely didn’t realise that just about every woman, and man in the place was salivating at the mouth…
Tina stopped dead in her tracks…She didn’t want to walk over to her girl just yet…She wanted to basque in the way her lover cast a spell over her admirers….She just stood there staring at Bette…As if she had spotted her for the very first time…
She could still see, even after all these years her beauty…Her magnetism…And how it drew a captive audience..
But that said, Tina also got a secret thrill out of knowing that those would be suitors were under false illusions if they thought they were gonna be lucky enough to bag her woman for a night, never mind a lifetime!
…After all the blonde was more than sure that this herd of women’s efforts would be futile…Because now more than ever before Tina was certain that Bette was hers…She always had been, and God willing she always would be!
So instead of feeling anxious, or jealous…The blonde felt another emotion as she watched the scene…
The blonde felt amusement…
Because try as those ladies might to chat her fiancée up…Tina knew without a shadow of doubt that the only woman Bette was going home with was her! – So she stood back against the bar and laughed as girl after girl tried to start a conversation with Bette…Tried to offer her a drink…Or simply make eye contact with her…All hoping the Dean reciprocated with a smile…Or showed a flicker of interest in them…

D, two postings in three days, terrific. I am re-reading the story again. And I was thinking about Shane. You have good timing; so she’s coming back. That is going to be very awkward. I cannot wait to see how everyone reacts to Shaney coming back and the reaction between Shane and Carmen. Great update.
