Space Train – Chapter One: The Rancid Oompa Loompa

Chapter One – The Rancid/Oompa Loompa

Bette pushed herself up from the scorching sand only to be knocked down again.

Bette: What the hell? Are you blind?

Bette quizzically eyed the woman in front of her. Tina flipped her phone shut before answering.

Tina: Geez. Calm down. It was an accident.

Bette: An accident? Do you see the vast spaces surrounding us? It’s a fucking beach! How do you accidently bumped into someone here?

Tina: Are you insinuating that I purposely knocked you down?

    Bette: Is the sky blue?

Tina: Now why would I do such a thing? I have nothing to gain from this encounter except inhaling your rancid breath?

Bette: I don’t know perhaps you were trying to get that grease of your body? My two cents, the color orange doesn’t suit you, Sweetie.

Tina: Ugh. Who are you calling, Sweetie?
Bette smiled and closed the small gap between them.

Bette: That would be you, Sweetie.

Tina: You are hopeless. If your breath wasn’t so painfully offensive, perhaps I would continue with this mindless conversation with you; but I can not any longer since you decided to invade the small space that was barricading your strong odor from my nose. You crossed the line. You crossed it big time.

Tina ran off before the Bette could say anything else; she was furious.

    Bette: Fuck you Oompa-Loompa wannabe!

Tina was 20 yards away from Bette when she heard the scream. She turned around to face the brunette.

Tina: If you don’t think of me. Think of the birds, and shut that mouth of yours, stinky breath! Haha!

Alice, Dana and Shane caught a glimpse of a figure running in the bathroom.

    Alice: Yowzer. Was that Porter?

    Dana: I think so.

    Shane: Yep.

Before they could say anything else; Bette came out with an empty bottle of mouthwash.

Bette: Who — used — all – the — mouthwash?

Dana and Shane turned to Alice. The spunky blonde sheepishly raised her hand.

Alice: That onion bagel we had this morning was a killer! I needed it. I didn’t want to harm the fish when we snorkel later.

Tina kicks her shoes off before stepping on the carpeted floor.

Angel: Hi hun. What took you so long?

Tina: It’s nothing, just a crazy person.

    Angel: Really? Are you okay?

Tina: Yeah. I’m alright. I took care of it.

Tina flashed her pearly whites. Angel smiled.

Angel: Of course, I forgot you have a black belt.

Tina: Let’s not talk about it anymore. We’re in Paradise. Hawaii is beautiful. Let’s just enjoy the sun and sand.

Angel: Hear! Hear! And the many nights of debauchery to come!

Tina: Not too many now. You do have a boyfriend waiting for you back in NY.

    Angel: Nah, forget about him.

Tina playfully slaps Angel on her arm.

Angel: Just kidding. I love your brother!

Tina: You better be! So, what are the plans for today?

Angel: When Bridget gets back, we are going snorkeling!

    Comments

    1. When Alice said,”That onion bagel we had this morning was a killer! I needed it. I didn’t want to harm the fish when we snorkel later.”, I literally wet my pants. That line alone will have me coming back for your next chapter, cliche. OK, so let’s see how these two get together. Funny. PPS
