A Tibette Beginning

Chapter 64

“I love you so much Bette…there are no words for me to express the depths of my love”

“I know T… I love you too” sleep slowly taking over her body. Tina knew Bette had to be exhausted, she had been running non stop all day, and didn’t get her afternoon nap. She continued stroking Bette’s hair knowing it would quickly put her in dreamland. And it did. Tina laid beside her wife feeling her every breath, her heart overflowing with love for the sleeping woman in her arms as she herself drifted off to sleep. Completely satisfied, and completely in love with the woman in her arms, her wife, the mother of her children, and undeniably her soul mate.

The last week had been a whirlwind. The girls took the girls to school, picked them up, and took them out to dinner before returning them back to their mothers the evening after the wedding and adoption giving Bette and Tina a good amount of time together to enjoy each other and their new marital status. Tina had several meetings that week and had to spend more time at the studio than she usually would, and more time than she was really happy about. Bette used the time to her advantage to work on the mural in the nursery. She put in a lot of hours painting, trying hard to abide by Tina’s conditions. Taking long breaks every few hours, most of which included at least a short trip to dreamland. Deep down Bette knew Gavin’s entrance was getting close. Closer than it should be at this point, but she was bound and determined to have the nursery done before he got there. Tina was worried about the amount of time Bette was spending on her feet painting, but didn’t ride her too hard. She knew what it meant to Bette to get it done, and she was doing what Tina had asked of her by only painting for a few hours at a time. Tina was dieing to see Bette’s work, but she would not hear of it. The nursery was on lock down, no one but Bette to enter until the mural was complete. Yesterday Tina thought she was going to be sly. Bette was napping, and the suspense was killing Tina, she creeped down the hall, thinking she would just catch a quick peek of the work in progress only to find a locked nursery door with a note taped to it.
