The Beginning of Bette and Tina—Chapter 5

    Previously…

“Look lovebirds, we’re not eating for like another hour so why don’t you two go on your “private” tour of the gallery then meet up with us for dinner?”

“Oh, no, that’s sweet but I wouldn’t want to impose.”

She wanted to have at least been on one date with Tina before she introduced her to her friends, but Bette saw this is a great chance for Tina to meet her friends.  And this way she still had some alone time with Tina.

“You know Alice, for once; I think you have a great idea.  Tina, it would be a pleasure for you to join us for dinner tonight.  So, what do you say?”

    Chapter 5

“Of course; I’d love to go to dinner with you and your friends,” Tina said cheerfully.

However, Tina wished she could have more alone time with Bette before dinner with the friends but oh well, she’d take whatever she could get.  But Tina didn’t know that Bette was thinking the exact same thing.

Dang it, Alice.  I love you but sometimes you have no sense whatsoever.  All I wanted to do was spend time with Tina, and now I have to share her with everyone.  Geez, they better not scare her off.

“Great!  I’ll see you all around 7pm at The Planet.  And I can’t wait to get to know you better, Tina!  Bye!”

‘Yeah, me too,” Bette thought to herself.

“Bye, Alice,” Bette and Tina said in unison as they watched Alice leave.

    “So…how about that tour?”

“Yeah, let’s do it,” Tina answered following Bette.

After a few moments of silence…

    “Um, Bette?” Tina said hesitantly.

“You don’t want to go to dinner at The Planet with my friends do you?”

Tina looked up with a surprised look on her face and met Bette’s eyes staring back at her with a sincere, understanding smile.

‘God, I’ve only known this woman a day and she can already read me…wow, this is going to be interesting,’ Tina thought to herself.

“Wow…um.  Bette it’s not that I don’t want to have dinner with your friends, it’s just that,” Tina found herself becoming nervous again, “well, it’s just that…”

“You’d rather spend your time with me?”  Bette said with a mischievous grin.

“Okay, now I just think you’re reading my mind,” Tina said with a laugh.

“Yes, it seems to be that way, doesn’t it?” Bette said, also laughing.  “Tina, to be honest with you…”

“You’d rather spend your time with me too?” Tina said with a giggle.

    “Now who’s the mind reader?”

“I guess both of us!  Come on,” Bette said grabbing Tina’s hand—both women took a sharp intake of breathe at the electricity that shot through them when they touched—“I uh, want to take you on that private tour now.”

After catching her breath, Tina was able to squeak out, “Sounds great.”

Tina was amazed at Bette’s passion for art, and it made her fall for Bette even more.  Tina had a tough time focusing on the art work because her eyes were continuously drawn to the art work that is Bette Porter’s body.  Her eyes shamelessly roamed Bette’s body and even when Bette caught her staring she would only blush, smile and continue on her tour of Bette’s body.  Bette could feel Tina’s eyes on her and it was continually making her hot and bothered.  The tour was interrupted by the sound of a rumble.

“Was that your stomach?” Bette asked laughing.

“Yeah,” Tina said shyly, “I think it’s trying to tell me I need to eat.”

“Oh, Tina, you should have said something sooner.”

“No, I didn’t want to; I didn’t want the tour to end or our night to end.”

“Our night doesn’t have to end.  How about you join me for dinner at my house?”

    “I thought you’d never ask.”
