The Language Of Love Ch 4
Chapter 4
"I saw you talking to Alice today" Lara said barely audible as she swtiched lanes in Dana’s new Mercedes. Dana didn’t answer immediately, she just knodded and waited for Lara’s reaction.
"Yeah…I think we needed that you know, some closure…" Lara still didn’t respond and the unresponsiveness made Dana very nervous. "Look Lara honey…".
"No it’s okay Dana I understand" And in fact Lara did understand but on some level, she felt as though she’d never equal up to Alice. It was funny how both women felt the same way about each other secretly.
"I love you okay" Dana confessed as she took Lara’s free hand in her own and kissed it before reaching for her rosy lips. Lara pulled into the parking lot of Wax,"Hey what are we doing at Wax I thought we were going out for dinner". Lara fought hard to keep a wide smile from spreading across her face as she unbuckled her safety belt. She opened the door and walked around to Dana’s side and stood, waiting for Dana to follow.
"Come on" Lara said grabbing Dana’s hands and pulling her along.
"Ooh its dark" Dana said in her most convincing spooky voice and Lara laughed at her girlfriend’s goofiness as they neared the entrance into Wax.
"Are you scared" Lara asked seductively.
"No" Dana replied wrapping her arms around Lara’s waist and nuzzling the nape of her neck."You know I like it with the lights off" she whispered and the red head giggled.
"Suprise" yelled what seemed like a whole stadium of people and it startled Dana who was getting her mojo going at the time. Dana looked around and noticed the familiar faces of her friends and the rest of who were party goers.
"Congratulations Dana" Alice said as she walked in behind the couple.
"Thanks Al" Dana took Alice’s hand and gave it a friendly squeeze as she smiled back at her best friend.
"Okay let’s get this party started" Alice yelled holding up a glass of champagne as the lights went dim and the music started. The two women stared at each other once more and Dana let go of the blonde’s hand…letting her go once again.
Bette sat on the couch with what seemed like a million pieces of paper sprawled out on the coffee table in front of her, she sighed at the work that lay ahead.
