    Hospitals and confessions

    Chapter 6

     

    Will and Alice had spent the rest of that night quietly watching TV, neither of them really entering into much of a conversation. Will knew he had pushed Alice to far already and would wait before he broached the subject again.  He knew how stubborn Alice could be and decided to just let her cool down a little.

     

    Dana was sat in her apartment alone, quietly contemplating. All sorts of things were going through her mind, she was beginning to get herself upset, she worried that there was something seriously wrong with Alice, and in the same breath chastised herself because Alice looked great, there couldn’t possibly be anything wrong. God it was driving her crazy.  All Dana wanted to do was call Alice or turn up on her doorstep and find out what the hell was going on, but she knew she couldn’t do that.

     

    Alice was up early the next day, she had even beaten Jake at getting up, so when she walked into his room and found him playing he was surprised. She got him some breakfast and told him to play quietly until his father woke up. She wrote Will a note and quietly left the house.

     

    When Will woke up he walked through into the kitchen and saw a note placed on the table, it simply read

     

    Will

    I’ve taken your advice, as usual you were right

    Alice had called Dr Henderson’s office first thing that morning to arrange an appointment for as soon as she could, luckily for her there had been a cancellation for that morning at 9.30 so Alice grabbed her chance and took the appointment.  She sat nervously in the waiting room of the hospital, flicking through the dog eared and very out of date magazines, when she heard her name called and was taken through into Dr Henderson’s office.  He was a tall grey haired man, slightly overweight but handsome all the same, he smiled at her and put his hand out for her to shake.

     

    Dr Henderson – Good morning Miss Pieszecki, its good to finally meet you.

     

    Alice – good morning – she shook his hand and took a seat.

    8. I love this story, Alice as a mom is really cool and you can tell she’s like the mom she wanted. I went back and read them all and I like Jake, maybe Dana Alice and Janke can be a happy family…minus the tumor of course :) Great job I’ll be looking for your posts

    12. I can’t say something new to comment, everything has been said already. Sad. yet beautiful chapter. Alice has a life filled with love from her ‘little’ family and friends. I really hope Alice will beat this.

    13. Great update, I love the dynamic between Al and Dane in this story. And who wouldn’t love Al as a mom. Praying for a happy ending. (with lots of happy Danish in between please!)
