My One Special One – Chapter 12

So afraid to say the words to match the feelings.
So afraid to speak what their hearts and souls already knew.
They are each other’s mate, for all the days of their lives. These days of forever would begin, if only Fear didn’t own their words of admission.
Her alarm woke her from a deep, dream-filled slumber. 6:00 a.m. Not bad. At least six hours sleep. If she hadn’t left Bette’s at 11:30 and her apartment wasn’t just five minutes away, she’d be in really bad shape this morning.
How about me, wanting her so badly I was on her ‘doorstep’ in my pajamas in only minutes. I’ve really ‘got it bad’, as Steve says.
Tina sat up, pushed the covers back, turned and placed her feet on the floor, hands at either side resting on the bed. She sat and stared out the window. Leaving the curtains open at night allowed the rising light of day to be nature’s backup alarm during the work week.
Her eyes took in the skyline of Philly. Billy Penn atop City Hall; glancing to the left was One Liberty Place – the first newly constructed building that was allowed to be taller than Billy Penn’s hat. No building before was allowed to be higher than that hat.
Years pass, times change and things that once were seemingly forged rigid in steel become malleable and changeable. Many don’t take easy to the change at first. Then as days pass and lives continue on, you look up one day and wonder what the big, damn fuss about change and difference was all about.
“Yeah, what is all the big, damn fuss about?” Tina sighed. She pushed off from the bed and padded to the bathroom.
She tilted her head back, closed her eyes and let the hot water cascade down her body like winding rivulets. Her mind’s eye saw Bette, the mocha-colored body walking towards her.
God, sex radiated off the womanbut it was more than the raw sexual energy she exudedthe look in her eyes went beyond lust. When Bette looked at me I saw not only the want and desire but joy and thanks that it was I her eyes beheld. I am the focus of her mindnothing else exists. Makes me tingle to my toes

good chapter. poor tina, but coming out is never easy, even your parents take it easy. and well, it could’ve been worse, too, at least her mom actually talked to her after tina’d told her, she could’ve just hung up and never answer tina’s calls again… anyway, hopefully bette will be able to console the love of her life
RC…great chapter. Both B & T feel the words in their hearts and their very souls are aching to share it with the other. Poor Tina, Bette warned her, but like everyone else you just think it won’t happen to you. Your family will accept you and anything you have to say to them without any question. Maybe time will help…let’s hope that is the scenario for Tina and her mother. Now I think I know who may be following Tina…it’s someone involved in the drug case she’s fighting in court. RC…always a pleasure to read your updates…please continue.

Arceextl,A magical and majestic moment in both Tina and Bette’s lives as they move towards admitting to both each other and themselves the depth of emotions that they are feeling. Love doesn’t always explode in your heart somtimes it just creeps in and takes root, forever changing you. And to have Tina so freely tell her mother about Bette was magnificent. Sad to see the parental response being one of denial and disgust. Hopefully time will ease these and allow Tina and her family to support and nurture one another again in the future. Bette’s actions speak volumes here as she rushes to console her lover. All of this is beautifully and tenderly drawn out. Thank you so much, Your Loyal Fan.
Great chapter rc. Get Bette to her fast so that she can feel the love they have for each other and ignore her mother. She has to know that true love exists in Bette for her and nothing and no one can change that. Fate and Destiny have intervened in their lives and made their hearts recognize their true mates.Thanks for the post.
Why does it has to be this way for so many off us….how can family be so cruel, I still don’t get it!!! Poor Tina, but just remember it will get better with time – I hope :o))….and with the love and support from Bette, she will be strong enough, she just have too belive in them…..Please dont let us wait too long for the next post….I love this and your writing :o))

Ouch. Luckily I didn’t have to deal with that with my parents, but I could very well be faced with that if/when the rest of my family finds out. Fate and Destiny won’t give up that easily on Tina, and neither will Bette. Bette gets lots of cool points for deciding to tell Tina how she feels even though she could end up hurt.
I am begging you (I know, it’s unbecoming) to please post another chapter to this amazing story soon!
Feel bad for Tina and let them talk, Bette will help her!!
