    Kit finally finds some ground

    The Gathering 01.50 –  Chaotic Bliss pt 6 – In This World

     

                Kit knocked timidly on the door of the well to do house.  She was supposed to have met Marty at a restaurant four hours before, but instead he’d been called away to a patient.  He’d given her his home address and said that he’d call her when he arrived home and that he’d make it up to her by making a late dinner for them.

     

                He’d called only 30 minutes before, and she’d told him she was in the mood for Italian take out from a great little hole in the wall she knew about.  He thought it was a great idea and she’d pick up the food and he’d provide the apple cider.

     

                “Well if it isn’t Miss Porter!  Please, welcome to my humble abode.”  He said; as he yanked the door open dramatically.  She laughed and he bowed; with a sweep of his arm he invited her in. 

     

                She stepped into the house, and looked around with a careful eye.  It was anything but humble, a nice sized home, moderately decorated yet meticulously clean.  He took the food and then her hand and led her into the kitchen.

     

                “I think I’ll reheat this a little bit, how are you tonight Kit?”  Kit smiled and said with a soft shy voice.

     

                “Doing pretty well.  How is your patient?”  He nodded, going through the motions of heating the food.  Kit sat at the small table and watched him intently.  He had about a weeks growth of beard, salt and pepper.  Making him look older, yet younger at the same time.  Kit thought he looked like that bearded dude on Star Trek The Next Generation.  His blue eyes turned to her and he said.

     

                “Oh she’s ok.  She had a bad scare is all.  Had a really good talk, made some progress and I came home.  Then I called my date.”  He said, pulling out a pair of miss matched plates. 

     

                “Oh yeah?  When is she coming?  I’d better get my ***** out of here if she’s coming soon huh?”  Marty rolled his eyes and waved his butter knife at her.

    6. i’ve been reading 34-this one youve sent my emotions all over the place today i know somewhere in the future thism night between sam and t will come back on them and i feel bad for bette tina shiould of told her right out the truth they would have to work harded to get back together but no lies would be hanging over their heads-rest of sytory is ok glad no one else died but that accident did bring on some changes doesn’t look like most of them will be good ones hit me with the next postings

    7. Okay, I’ve been sick so in the past two days I’ve read EVERYTHING you posted as Janet Marie…And you know I’m a slow reader so My opt. is going to kll you cause my eyes hurt. Anway I missed these two stories (LA and TG) Hope this time around you decide to update L.A. and T.G. Oh and I wanted to say that My favorite version of Ro is in L.A. Like her more as the ex gang banger 20something then as the adult one in he other story you wrote where she gets pregnant. And i like this Jayden better, then when she’s a homicidal maniac (sp?) heheh And one more thing ( promise its the last) I LOVE sam with Shane as aopposed to same with Lara + Shane living with them. you know what i mean…..nite!

    9. Wasn’t a fan of Kit & Ivan, but I luv Kit w/ Marty. She seems comfortable in her own skin – wonderful. Hey, this may not be relevant, just curious as to Why two of Marty’s kids aren’t talking to him.
