Chapter 5 – Feelings
Kit had been feeling under the weather for several weeks now. She had visited the doctor twice and after running basic tests he had found nothing wrong with her and just prescribed her some multi vitamins and as much rest as possible.
“Rest? How am I supposed to do that and run a successful business at the same time?” she asked the doctor.
The man just stared back at her blankly.
“Okay,” she resigned as she left.
A few days later she collapsed as she was walking from the counter back to her office leaving her staff to frantically call for an ambulance.
Once at the local hospital, the doctors placed her on fluids and decided to keep her in overnight so that they could run intensive blood tests and anything else that they could think of.
“I can’t stay here all night, and anyway I feel fine now!” Kit argued with her doctor who once again just stared at her without speaking.
“Doc, you know you really have to stop doing that, because you’re starting to piss me off!” Kit spoke menacingly.
The doctor just smiled. What he was really doing was trying to get a good look at his patient. He noticed that she appeared a little stressed, and her respiration was rapid, and looking deeper he could see that her pallor, her complexion, was a little grey.
“I would strongly advise that you stay the night. I’m sure things will be just where you left them tomorrow?” he spoke calmly and softly but kept firm eye contact with her and Kit could feel the seriousness of his words.
“Okay, but I’m gonna have to call a tonne of people to help me out here,” she said resigned once more to her fate.
“Do what you need to do, just from the confines of that bed, alright?” he spoke with finality.

Tina knew that Bette was not asleep. You don’t live with someone for nearly nine years and not know basic things about them, and Tina could see from the way that Bette held herself, so very tensely, that she was not asleep.
And probably not in a very good mood either.
‘Do I really want to handle this now?’ Tina asked herself quietly while she sat cooing Angelica in the rocking chair before putting her down for a nap. She turned on the baby monitor, took a deep breath and slowly walked towards their bedroom.
With each step she could hear the words in her head, ‘Dead woman walking, dead woman walking’

Let Tina have her fun,the fun will begin when Bette gets tired of it. and Tina will be taking a long walk off a short pier without Bette to be at her side. Sex and Bette is goes together, Tina know this to keep Bette happy Tina can give her a little sex . But Bette know Tina to well. thanks
This is interesting & I’m enjoying it – good to see someone putting the spoilers to good use – and it obviously has some personal resonance for you as you explained in your notes. I’m interested in Laurel H’s comments that you mention though – do you have lins to them or anything – i’m not questioning you – i just would like to read more about her views as I find her interesting & what you have ‘quoted’ her as saying & also because she seems to have done so few interviews. just curious!

Maybe Tina is more attracted to a Bette who doesn’t try so hard to please.
If this is the show next year, they will probably lose me as a viewer. I’m going to stick with your story, however.

wow, you leave us hanging! I will never tell an author how to write their story, and do not listen to anyone who trys to tell you what to write. You’ve already stated this has some personal basis and I think you need to tell us your story in this one! You are doing a great job, I only ask for longer posts :)
Excellent again… unless I’m totally applying my own bias here, your Tina is really quite immature, quite mercenary and very very opportunistic. No criticism against you – it’s a compliment, actually, as she’s coming through quite consistently each chapter. Thoroughly unlikeable (to me) but consistent, I’m starting to be able to picture her doing and saying this stuff. Not a pretty picture, mind you :) I, of course, hope Bette’s being beyond mad means she’s potentially ready to give it to Tina in spades, or would have been save for Kit’s illness. I’m beginning to think I wouldn’t want anyone to be someone Tina has feelings for, since her feelings seem so fleeting and surface-y. Anyway, please keep going — can’t wait to see what happens next. And I, like some other people, won’t bother with season3 if this is the nonsense that will go on, you’re saving me from paying for Showtime!!
So now Tina is the one using sex as a means of ignoring issues at hand.. oh how the tables have turned. Maybe Kit’s getting sick will be a blessing for B&T’s relationship because Tina will see the woman she loves in pain once again, and then she’ll realize that she can’t be apart from Bette. Hopefully Kit will be alright though. Looking foward to your next post
