    2. Well, I don’t know what to say. I’m sorry you had to change your story. No, I am not a fan of jailbait but I do believe you should be able to write what you like. If I don’t like the subject matter of someone’s storyline, I don’t continue to read it. No one makes us read each and every chapter. I enjoy your writing and will continue to read.       It’s abhorrent, no matter how you dress it. Let’s call it what it is. It’s sick and exploits children. I don’t care if you change Evan’s age. The spirit of this fic is still pedophiliac.

    6. I am floored that no one has commented on the fact that you are writing a love story about an adult lesbian, who is making totally unacceptable advances on a child. And, before you laugh at me and shake your heads, just think for one minute. If the next door neighbor was a straight man, and was kissing Bette and Tina’s 15 year old daughter, how many of you would think that this was a cute and sweet love story? I think if that were the case, you would be calling him a child molester. You would all be up in arms. I am afraid there are some clear double standards going on. Also, as a note to the author, you rated your last chapter PG-13, when the dream sequence itself was very much an R. I can understand why the administrators of this site, would be uncomfortable with you writing about what is not only bordering on child molestation, but child molestation with a positive spin. Just because Evan is 15, doesn’t mean she is no longer a child. Again, IMHO.

    7. I’ve commented on it aplenty. It’s abhorrent. It’s repugnant. And all the tragic stories of child molestation day after day in national news should reverberate in the minds as we read stories such as this.

      Adults having sex with children is never amusing, amazing or acceptable, whether in real life or in fiction.

      I protested the initial facts of this story and even though you have gone in and changed Evan age here and there, the pedophiliac nature of this story remains, and I still protest it.

      You should not contribute to what is becoming an epidemic climate of child endangerment, free speech be damned.

    8. runawaytee..i am sorry you are taking a beating on your story. i have learned recently that just because people have a different point of view then yours, that DOES not make you wrong. you are entitled to YOUR own thoughts!! i do not condone pedophiles and i truly believe you were not writing about serena preying on evan. i believe in love, but at a age where you can understand the greatness of it. some find love at an early age, some don’t. i have loved two women in my life. 1 that was 15 years older than me and my wife is 9 years older. my first love was at a early age (legal of course) but we were told that is was wrong and we were made to feel bad about our love for each other. who is to say that this is wrong!! if this was in my home state, 16 is the legal age of consent and it would not be considered agianst the law.
      i am sorry to the readers who do not agree, but each person see’s love differently. fiction is just that, fiction. if you buy a book and don’t like the contents, set it down, throw it away, or for god sake burn the damn thing. it doesn’t mean the writer is wrong or a “pedoplhile” for writing about early love. with that being said, please keep writing.

    12. Techie was correct in saying the line was crossed with this fic. Admittedly I liked the initial innocent flirting. But the ick factor sunk in when they kissed. The parent in me knows you just can’t be blase when it comes to protecting children.

    15. well that blows that ppl can’t just understand that it’s a frickin peice of FICTION! I mean they hadn’t done crap yet and for all we know Runawaytee could have dragged this story on till Evan was of legal age. But what ever I still love it and will read it till the end. Also I would like to point out that I read Buffy Fanfic all the tie and there have been plenty of Fic’s with adults having sex with minors and yet i have never seen a freakout like this and I have been reading Buffy fic’s for 6 or 7 years.

Sorry to read all the controversy, although I had realized that the age was young, my first thought was not Jailbait/illegal etc…I was taking the story for what it was/is…fanfic by you with a timeline all your own to be revealed to us in due course…I hope that this has not totally spoiled that course of yours and that PLS will you continue this story and any others you care to write….pls/thankyou!!!!

    18. Firstly this is a great story and I would like to see much more. I think we have to remember that the vast majority of people who read the fiction on these pages do have the ability to see a piece of fiction for what it is but unfortunately there are all too many people in this world who actually get a kick from reading about sex with children, and there will be some people who read these stories who have experienced sexual abuse as a child first hand. Christy, you are correct we should be able to write what we like but only what is legal to write. Writing about sex with children (and yes at 15 she is a child) is quite simply against the law. I think it would have been very interesting to see how this story played out and how Serena would have avoided having sex with Evan but unfortunately the dream sequence crossed the line of legality. It doesn’t mean we have to agree with the law, but the law is the law. In some states and many countries the age of consent is 16 so Evan was almost there, but unfortunately in the majority of the USA it is 18 and we have to live with that. We may not like the law but we have to live with it otherwise where does it end?

      We have to rememeber this is not a porn site, people do not come here looking to find stories about sex with children, so whene they do come across them it’s hardly surprising there are complaints. It is things like this that result in sites like this being closed down and you can’t blame the adminstrators from trying to sort this out. It seems that they asked runawaytee to chnage the age of the character, they have not pulled the story, it seems to me they are trying to be reasonable and trying to satisfy everyone. We have seen here already the diversity of opinion, some of ot very heartfelt. I for one do not want to see this site go down because of a story, neither do I want to see the police knocking on runawaytee’s door because she is a truly talented writer, but I think we have to be realistic.

      I love the story and am looking forward to the next chapter and hey, lets face it Bette is going to crazy when she finds out regardless of her being 18 or 15!!

    20. i would be honest. intially i did have a problem with it but i could understand that in human nature and emotion you cant help who you love. in fact i thought that i somehow neglected to read an author’s comment about time being pushed forward to facilitate the love between serena and evan. i have mixed feelings about it. though i love your story and have from the first chapter the content was sensitive but i havent stopped reading it. i hope you do continue this and bring some sort of retribution to your fanfic.
