She took the flowers out to the nurses station.  Would you see that someone who hasnt received any flowers gets these, please?

Last Monday Bette lay in a bed in this hospital trying to understand how somebody could hate so much that they would want to kill someone.   As she walked to the cafeteria, her mind fought the thought, but for the very briefest of moments she understood the how and the why.

The young nurse at the nurses station looked up from her paperwork and saw Bette returning to Tina Kennards room.   She didnt know her name – only as the partner of the woman who had just given birth.   She couldnt understand why the woman wanted that gorgeous arrangement of flowers given away.  Why would she do that?

This relatively new nurse had been the one who answered the phone yesterday.  It was someone from the Peabody Foundation – the people who donated the money to build this new nursery and pediatrics wing of the hospital.  The person requested that a phone call be made to her secretary as soon as they knew a Ms.Tina Kennard arrived for delivery of her child; that this information would be greatly appreciated and the person would surely remember the kindness displayed by relaying this information.   So, no big deal, it wasnt anything too difficult to comply withas soon as she saw Tina Kennards name on the sheet, she placed the call.

Oh, well, people do things for the strangest reasons.  The nurse looked at the flowers and thought of someone on the floor who would love to have them, even if Ms. Tina Kennard did not.

Tina was still asleep when Bette entered her room.  She quietly sat in the chair across from the bed and ate her hospital cafeteria lunch – or whatever meal it was.  Of course, she had stopped by the nursery to see their daughter.  The nurses told her to come in and sit in one of the rocking chairs and they would bring Angelica to her.

Oh, what a beauty she is, Bette thought.  Yes, I know Im bit prejudiced and I dont care.  Youre all ours.  I dont know if youll ever really understand how much we wanted you and how much love is to be bestowed on you.   But everyday you will feel that love from us.

I love your writing :-) really appreciated Bette’s inner dialogue, you are absolutely right about sharing your fears with the person you love…now do you have any suggestions on how to find that person? lol…also wanted to add that although i HATE hellvira, she DOES create some interesting scenarios..cant wait for the next chapter:-)
