Previously…..

Bette: “To you….to us….to our family. Without your love and support I wouldn’t be half the person I am. You’ll never know how much of an inspiration you are to me, everyday and though, words can not express how much gratitude and love I feel for you, I will spend every moment I breathe showing you just how much you mean to me. My heart is yours as long as you’ll keep it. Thank you, Tina….for you truly are my rock, my guide, and my purpose.”

She then smiles that gorgeous smile and drinks to her toast. Tina’s eyes are filled wioth tears, but she, too, drinks to the toast.

Tina: “Bette, that is the most incredible thing anyone has ever said to me. I am so happy I can make you feel that way because that’s you make me feel.”

Bette kisses Tina’s hand and with a look of understanding says, “I know that you know, that I love you, but sometimes “I love you” just isn’t enough and I know even as secure as we are in our relationship sometimes you just need me to reassure you of what I’m feeling so I wanted to tell you.”

Tina: “Thank you”

Bette: “Are you ready to eat?”

Chapter 7:

Tina is psyched today. It’s the last day before her start of leave and the day of Bette’s show opening at the CAC. She knows that once this show is over they can start trying to have a baby. With Bette on her mind, Tina decides to call and see how things are gearing up for the night’s big event.

Bette is touring the gallery and admiring the hard work that has went into turning this place around. James approaches her, “Bette, Tina on line 1 for you.”

Bette: “Thanks, James”

Just as Bette turns to leave Helena enters the gallery, “Wow, congratulations, Bette, it looks fabulous in here.”

Bette: “Thank you, it’s always nice to finish ahead of schedule….if you’ll excuse me I have a call to take in my office.”

Bette breezes past Helena without a second glance.

Bette: “Hey baby….how’s your last day at work?”

Tina: “It’s good, everything’s in order. I’m so ready to leave.”
