The M Word Chapter 25 — —-Music and My Own Gallery

The last chapter ended with them getting kicked out of the hotel in Vegas.
So the girls drove back to Malibu in the middle of the night.

I cant believe we got kicked out. Kit was commenting while laughing.
Its been ages since I got kicked out of a hotel. Kit replied
Yea.thanks to Ride Um ! Cowboy! Maria said as Bette spit out her pop.
Everyone was laughing hysterically.
Youve got to admit that was a good dare! Alice said as she patted herself on the back.
Tina I dont think I can look at you the same way after that! Maria started to giggle.
Bette hit Maria in the back of the head with a bag.

They pulled in the drive way of the Porter household. The sun was just starting to raise.
Dominic and Alanas cars where in the drive way as well as Bryans SUV.

Bette, Tina, and Maria went into the house. Everyone else went to their homes.

When Bette opened the door..Anna Bella came running. Mama and Mommy!
Tina reached down and hugged her. Hows my baby? Tina said.
Im goodGrandma Alana and I were up eating cereal. Anna Bella said as Alana came around the corner.
Your daughter definitely an early bird. Alana said with a laugh. We have been up since 5:30 am I thought you girls werent getting in until this evening.

Thats what we thought too Maria said as she yelled Ride Um Cowboy!
Maria! Tina and Bette yelled.
Ride um Cowboy?? Alana said in a confused tone.
Mom its a long storyneedless to say we got asked to depart the hotel earlier than expected. Bette said
You girls got kicked out of the hotel? Alana said surprised.
I wouldnt say kicked out.it was like a free trip..we got our money back for the roomwe just had to leave early. Maria added as she went up stairs.


Alana shared a laugh with Bette and Tina.
Maria went into Bryannas room and gave her a kiss on the forehead as she slept.
Maria whispered I love you
Bryanna woke up and followed her mother into the other bedroom.
Mommy Bryanna whispered
Hey baby girl Maria said as she changed her clothes.
Then she hugged her little girl.
Come on lets curl up with Daddy. Maria said
The three of them looked so happy all curled together.


A couple of days later at the Planet.

Kit and Alice are sitting down at a table.
Heres your coffee. Kits says as she hands it to Alice.
Thanksyou know me I need my wake up juice. Alice added.
So Alice are you ok? Kit asked.
You know Im just trying to keep myself occupied so I dont think about it.
Its one thing to lose your girlfriend its a double whammy if she was your best friend too. Alice added.

I can understand where you are coming from. Kit said. I just think your such a great person you will meet the right person.
I hope soin the meantime Im going to make sure I have some fun. Alice said with a forced laugh.

So how are you and Demarco doing? Alice added.
Oh its just a singing thing..we have great chemistry on stage but he is a bit young for me. Kit says with a sheepish grin.
Kit age is nothing but a number. Alice said. Speak of the devil.
Kit and Alice glance at Demarco walking through the door with a sharp looking girl who is dressed in workout clothes. She is Italian looking with gorgeous big brown eyes.

See he has a girlfriend already. Kit says as Alice watches them walk over toward their table.
Do you mind if we sit with you? Demarco said as he pulled the chair out for his friend.
No be my guest. Kit said as she is trying not to act concerned about his friend.
Kit and Alice.this Cia she is a choreographer. Demarco adds as everyone shakes hands.
Hi its nice to meet the both of you. Cia adds. I love your voice and actually I have read your column Alice and Kit are impressed that she knows them both. Besides
Demarco cant say enough about you..He said if it wasnt for you he would have been just another ordinary singer.

Well thank you Kit said. I think we need to keep you around all the time Cia.
So Cia where are you from? Alice asks
Im from Denver actually but I have been moving back and forth between Chicago, NY,
and LA. Cia added. I have been helping some singers choreograph there routines. Sometimes I travel with them depending on the situation.

That has to be exciting. Alice asks.
It is in the beginningbut after a while I get homesick. Cia added.

Kit that is why I brought Cia here. I was talking to Giovanni and his uncle is willing to produce my record but ..he wants to make a video for it. Demarco said
So Cia and I are going to be having try outs for the video. Do you mind if I put up a flyer on the bulletin board here? Demarco asks.
Nogo right ahead. Kit added.

PlusI want you to be in the video also Demarco added.
What? You can use my voiceI dont think you want an older woman in your video. Kit added But I feel flattered.

Older woman.who would that be??? I dont consider you an older womanI think of you as a beautiful woman with a great voice. I feel we have chemistry together. Demarco added. As he put his arm on the back of Kits chair.

You do boost my self-esteem Kit added with a huge smile.
Just then Frank came over to Kit.
Kit you have phone call.do you want me to take a message? Frank asked.
No honeyI will get it. Kit added. Excuse me for a moment.
Look I have to runtoo. Demarco added I have to meet Giovanni at his uncles office.

Demarco and Kit exit.

So what would you suggest out of the huge variety of coffees? Cia asked.
MyselfI like the cappuccino. Alice added as she pointed to it on the menu.
Hey FrankCan you get her a cappuccino? Alice asked.
Sure Frank added.

So Alice werent you dating that tennis player? Cia inquired.
Yes Alice said as Cia caught her off guard. Yes I was.
I hope you dont find this to be rushed but I would love to take you out for dinner.
Cia asked.
ummm sure Alice said trying not to act to eager.
How about tonight? Cia asked. I have friends who are dancersI told them I would check out there routines. Would you like to go with me?
Yea.sureI would love to. Alice asked.

Cia winked at Alice as she took her cappuccino. I hate to run but I have to stop by some dance studios this morning.

Bette and Tina are sitting next to each other by the pool Tina I have been thinking. Bette said.
What do you think about me opening my own gallery?
Honey I think that would be nice but costly. Tina added as she sat next to Bette on
the lounge chair outside.
I know but my creative energy is being zapped working at the CAC. Bette added as she put her arms around Tina. BesidesDominic said he could be a silent partner with me.
Honey you know I am all about what you wantits just with this house and Anna Bella
things can get expensive. We have so much to take in to consideration.

Just then Bryan walked out to the take a morning swim.
Take the chanceBette. Bryan added as he sat on the edge of the pool.
I am making a great income, Tinas got a good income as does Maria. This would be a perfect time. Bryan added as he started his swim.

See Bette said.. as she looked at Tina for approval.
I can I say no to those eyes? Tina said as she looked at Bette.
Tina leaned and kissed Bette.
Thank you. Bette said with her smile as she stole another kiss from Tina.
You know we have a very unique family situation here. I would never trade it for anything else. Tina said.
Amen to thatBryan added as he grabbed and towel and headed back into the house.

Did you here Bette is going to leave the CAC? Bryan says as he walks through the kitchen.
Nowhen did this happen? Maria asked as she was making breakfast for Anna Bella and Bryanna.
Oh just a minute ago while I was doing my workout. Bryan added.
Bryan snuck a kiss from Maria as he stole a piece of toast from Bryannas plate.
Daddy! Bryanna yelled as she put her hand on her little hips.
Bryan just looked at her as she headed upstairs.

Bette and Tina came walking through the kitchen.
Do you guys want some breakfast? Maria asked.
No thanks Bette said as she stole a piece of toast from Anna Bellas plate.
Aunt MariaMom stole a piece of my toast! Anna Bella screamed.
BETTE! Maria yelled playfully at her.

I have a meeting to get ready for.Tina said as she exited the room with Bette right behind her.

A few minutes later Joseph walked in the back door.
Good morning my futures costars. Joseph said to Anna Bella and Maria.
Hi Joseph! the two girls screamed.
So whats for breakfast.? Joseph asked as he poured a cup of coffee.
We are having scrabbled eggs, toasted, bacon, and orange juice. Maria stated
As Bryanna and Anna Bella covered their plates so they didnt lose anymore toast.
Wow you two are guarding your plates like two pit bulls Joseph added.
So did you talk to Bryan and Bette about letting the girls do some acting in my movie?
I asked and it was a double no.. Maria said. Bryan said he doesnt want his daughter to end up like all the other child actors.
Well what was Bettes comment? Joseph inquired.
Ditto. Maria replied.
Yesbut if I can secure those two I am a sure in for the movie. Joseph added.
Joseph looked at Maria mischievously. What if we did it and they didnt find out?
NO Joseph! Please dont even think about it.. Maria added.
Oh come on Maria. Live a little.he will only be mad until she gets her awards. Joseph.
I will only be mad for what? Bryan said as he came in on the end of the conversation.
Bryan had on some workout clothesand a basketball in his hand.
Just then the doorbell rang. Bryanna ran for the door..
ShitBryan said as he dashed after her.What did Daddy say about opening the door?
Bryan opened the door with Bryanna is his arms and the basketball bouncing out of his hands. Giovanni caught the ball. Hey Bryannayou have to tell your daddy he needs to work on his coordination skills Giovanni added as he entered the house carrying the basketball.

Ready to go shot? Giovanni said as they walked into the kitchen.
Yes.come onlets go outside. Bryan said as he pointed to the outdoor practice court.
Hey Maria. Giovanni said ..Did you hear I am Shooting Coach Giovanni now?
Oh yea honey I forgot I put Giovanni on the payroll.
