Alice : “Oh my god, you wouldn’t believe it. Wendy Turner left a voicemail on my mailbox, looking for me!”

Dana and Shane rolled their eyes.

Shane : “Awwe, come on, obviously she’s looking for you. Why would Wendy Turner leave a message on YOUR mailbox looking for someone else?”

Alice : “Oh.. yeah you’re right! Anyway she asked me to go down for an interview tomorrow. I can’t believe it! I’m going to work at ClubRadio! Let me see, here it goes.. Hi I’m Alice from ClubRadio and I’ll be with you tonight..”

Dana : “Yeah great, in that radio voice!”

Jenny and Shane burst out laughing. At this moment, Marina walked into The Planet. Alice was the first to catch sight of her.

Alice : “Guys, look.”

They turned and caught sight of Marina in a red dress, looking better than ever. Jenny was stunned for a moment.

Marina : “Hi Jenny.”

Her low, seductive voice sent a tinge of excitement into Jenny.

Dana : “Hey Marina, hi. It’s good to see you back.”

Alice : “Yeah, it’s great to see you back, Marina. How was Milan?”

Marina, with her eyes still fixed on Jenny replied, “Fine, thank you.”

Shane : “Well, I think I better get going.”

Dana and Alice looked at each other, “Yeah, we too.”

They left The Planet hastily while Jenny and Marina had their eyes on each other.

Marina : “May I sit down?”

Jenny : “Yeah.. yeah sure.”

Marina : “How have you been, Jenny? I’ve been thinking alot about you.”

Jenny : “I’m fine, everyone’s great. Tina and Bette are having their baby soon. Alice and Dana, they had some sparks flying but decided to stay as friends, eventually. Shane, well, I’m living with her now.”

A look of surprise came over Marina.

Marina : “You mean, you and Shane..?”

Jenny interrupted : “No, no. We are just very good friends. Roommates.”

Marina : “Oh.”

They smiled awkwardly at each other.

Jenny : “So, what exactly happened? You just left without a word.”

Marina : “I.. I was very confused at that moment. The Planet seemed out of my grip, I was losing you, Francesca was being a total pain in the ***** and..”

Marina let out a huge sigh.

Jenny : “Yes, I understand.”

Marina : “Look Jenny, I didn’t wanted to kill myself. I was just hysterical at that moment. I couldn’t grasp onto my life. But that didn’t mean I wanted to throw my life away! It’s just like, when you’re so messed up, you down bottles of beer. I guess, it just happened to the 3 bottles of pills.”

Jenny nodded her head, “I understand fully, Marina.” She then reached out and touched Marina’s hands. They looked at each other and words were no longer needed.

The silence was broken when Kit came bursting into The Planet. She stopped for a moment when she saw Marina.

Kit : “Hey, Marina!”

Marina smiled, “Hey Kit. Nice work done to The Planet. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for this cafe.”

Kit : “Come on, don’t say that, Marina. The Planet was well established before I took over. And all thanks to you.”

The two ladies smiled at each other.

Jenny : “Well, I better get back. I’m supposed to work on a story. The deadline’s tomorrow morning.”

Marina : “I’ll walk you back. Okay, Jenny?”

They walked out of The Planet while Kit busied herself at the counter, serving the seemingly endless queue of people.
