As she pushed the door open, she could hear Kit singing to Bette. She took the moment to just enjoy the sincerity and love in Kits voice. Bette and Kit have not always gotten along but one thing that remained constant throughout their relationship”their love and loyalty to each other. They were sisters and no matter how many disagreements or arguments they had, they never stopped loving each other. This is the quality that Tina wanted and hoped she will be able to share with their baby. She wanted her to grow up and actually witness the special relationship that her aunt and Momma have.

Kit was sitting on the bed softly singing to Bette. She held her hand in hopes that she could feel and hear her.

Tina quietly walked blind Kit and pleased her hand on Kits shoulder. Any changes? Tina inquired.

No, Baby girl. Shes still sleeping like a sleeping beautyjust waiting for her princess to come and kiss her. Kit says as she breaks a smile. Is Lexa outside?

No, I sent her home. I told her wed give her a call if Bettes condition changes. She said shell be back tomorrow though. Tina answers.

Thats good. Shes been with Bette since this morning. Why dont you go to the hotel and get some rest. Its been a long day for both of you. Kit looking at Tinas stomach.

Now you know me better than that. I didnt come all this way to wait in a hotel room while Bette is still in a coma. I want to be here when she wakes up. I came here to be with both of you so I am not going anywhere. I did ask one of the nurses to bring a cot or another chair so that I can lay down for a bit. Tina sounding stern but tired.

A few minutes later, a nurse came in with 2 cots. Kit ordered Tina to lay down and get some sleep while she stayed up to speak to Bette. Tina quietly followed Kits order and finally laid down and closed her eyes. She placed both of her hands on her stomach and said good night to their little girl.

Baby, you get some rest now. Maybe if we are lucky, Momma will finally wake up and say hello to you. I know she is as excited to speak to you as you are with her. With that, she closed her eyes and prayed that tomorrow will be the day that she finally will get her second chance to speak.

For the next couple of hours, Kit hummed and spoke to Bette. She told her how Tinas stomach was getting bigger and how she was glowing. She told her not to give up and that no matter what has happened in the past, Tina and her was meant to be. Sometimes, things happen to remind us how lucky we are to have love in our lives. Please, Baby sis we need youI need you. I need your encouragement and your strength to keep me on a straight line. I finally know how good it feels to have a sister in my life so please dont leave me yet. I dont think I can make it without. Baby girl, just give us another chance to make thing right with you. I know we all treated you badly and blamed you for the affair but to be honest, it was none of our business. We were wrong to get involve and take sides. Please know that I have regretted everything since you left. Kit had exhausted herself confessing to Bette. She had finally cried herself to sleep beside her.

Tina started to wake up when the baby got an early start. She started moving and was kicking right on Tinas bladder. Tina had to get her senses right away to make it into the bathroom. She walked back into the right with the sun just beginning to rise. She just knew that this was going to be a good dayfor all of them! She walked to where Kit had fallen asleep and woke her up.

Kit, why dont you lay down on the cot. You need to get at least a couple of hours of good night’s rest. Ill sit with Bette while you sleep. I promise to wake you up if anything changes.

Kit was unsure if it was the right thing to do. She wanted Bette to know that she was not going to leave her side this timethat from the day she had left CA, Kit was going to be at Bettes side until the end of time. She got up and gave Bette a kiss.

Ill just be over there, Baby girl. Im not going anywhere. Im never going to leave your side again, do you hear me? Ill talk to you in a couple of hours, ok. Meanwhile, your lovely wife and daughter will sit with you so that you dont feel alone.

Tina sits on Bettes bed. She takes her hand and kisses the inside of Bettes palm good morning. She starts to speak to her.

How did you sleep? I hope you slept well. The baby and I feel much better this morning. I guess Kit was right. We really did need the rest. I cannot believe how tired I easily get since the pregnancy. You know I miss the times when you used to get home and we would sit on the couch and you would rub my feet. I never told you how much I appreciated everything you did for us. You were so caring and attentive. Every time I see a slurpee, it reminds me of those good times. Do you remember them, Bette? We did have a lot of good times. I guess after II mean we lost the baby, the sadness overshadowed the good times we had. I allowed myself to forget them and I apologize for that. You know I often tell our baby girl how it used to be before you left. How happy we were and how excited we were to start a family. Are you still excited about started a family? I know that I didnt give you a chance to be part of this but I hope you will allow me to show you that the only place for us is and has always been with you. The baby startles Tina as she kicks. Tina had talked to their daughter so much about Bette for the past month that she thinks the baby already knows her Mommas first name. She takes Bettes hand and places it on her stomach.

I have this life inside of me because of the love you showed me since we meant. I never knew I was capable of having so much love to give until the day I met you and I have never thanked you for that throughout our times together. I want you to know that you were the one soul that brought all this love inside of me. Bette, you are the light in my life that makes everything on this earth brighter and more beautiful than I have ever imagined. She leans over and softly kisses Bette on the lipsthen all of a sudden, Tina feels Bettes lips move.

Bette, baby are you waking up? Please tell me you are ok? Again, Tina leans over to give Bette another kiss but this time on her cheek. She lived her lips there for a moment when she felt something wet, something salty. She panics and opens her eyesto finally she the most beautiful brown eyes she had ever seen in her life!

Bette? Are your eyes really open? Tina ask, questioning her own eyes
