In the taxicab, Lindsays phone automatic dialed a number. A British voice came over the speaker. How did it go?

Lindsay closed her eyes regretting what to say next.

Nightfall is about to fall on LA. The lights in the CAC start to go dark except for one office.

Good night Ms.Porter. said James all set to leave work for the night.

Night. Said Bette not looking at James but at the computer monitor.

James heads out to the entrance and the doors shut behind him.

Bette suddenly jumped up looking at the clock on the upper right hand corner of the computer monitor. *****, *****, ***** she thought gathering her things to leave.

Meanwhile Tina is at home cooking in the kitchen with her daughter Danielle sitting in the booster sit a short distant away at the dinning table around the corner. Tina counting in her head the minutes left when Bette would be rushing into the doors. She knows that Bette would be late but she was having a good feeling about tonight.

Hearing the sound of a car parking outside, Tina smiled and ties her hair in a pony tail and walk over to Danielle picking her up to greet Bette.

Bette rushed to the door, turn the handle and swing the door slowly inward. So how are my two babies?

Tina smiled as she hand Bette Danielle as she helps Bette putting her bag down on the couch next to them. How was the rest of the day? Tina asked Bette watching them.

Same old, same old. She responded making her way to the dinning table.

That bad huh? Tina follows Bette.

Bette holding Danielle with her left arm, reaching out to the back for Tina with her right arm. Tina catches the hand and holds it with both palms around Bettes.

You want to take a shower before having dinner? Tina asked grinning at Bette.

Bette smiled at Tina, then looking down at Danielle. Set her in her crib and well see.

Bette then walk faster to the bedroom up stair looking back seductively. Tina turned everything off in the kitchen and pick up Danielle and bring her to her crib near the kitchen. Lowering the light brightness to the first floor she turned around and begins to head up stair while unbuttoning her shirt. Reaching up stair, she begins to see a trail of clothing leading to the bathroom with the door still opened wide. Tina ignoring the cloths being on the floor and begin to strips down to nothing while heading to the shower. Tina sees a blur of Bettes naked body through the glass shower door. She smiled and steps in. Bette is now facing the wall with her back to Tina. Tina wrapping her arms around Bette, turning her around. Bette resisted.

Bette amusing herself, Why?

Meanwhile down stair. The door handle begins to moved on its own but outside there stood Alice, Dana, Shane, and Carmen with Alice holding the handle. Carmen with her arms around a large white box.

Quiet you guys. Dana suggested as they all make it inside the house.

Alice turning her head to face Dana, You quiet? Dana you are kidding me.

Carmen walk by not noticing the baby in her crib. Shane follow but tripped over the crib. Danielle begins to cry out. Dana picks up Danielle to comfort her while Carmen set down the box and turn the lights in the house brighter.

Alice eyes Shane as she helps her up, You are always tripping over some girl arent you Shane.

Shut up and get me some ice, said Shane limping to the couch,

Carmen went over to the kitchen, she see and empty zip lock bag. She presses the button for ice on the front of the refrigerator. The ice releases into the bag just enough to fills it. She turned the off button and zip up the bag.

Shane rests her left leg on the coffee table resting on the couch. Carmen walks over, Where it is hurting you foolist girl.

Alice leaves Shane there as she points to her thigh. Carmen move her right palm over it to check for anything broken then places the ice bag with her left hand.

Dana padding Danielle on her back, Where are Bette and Tina.

Shane, Isnt it obvious?

Carmen let out a laugh. Dana is puzzled, Whats so funny.

Shane looking at the ceiling, not facing Dana while gesturing with her hands, Tina said that she would get Bette away when we would be getting in the set up her surprise birthday party. I guess now we know how. Cant you hear that?

Dana now hands Danielle over to Carmen. See, once again I dont know what you are talking about.

Alice coming over with a large plate with a cake big enough to fit it perfectly and with a small candle lit in the center of it. Stop picking on my girl. Said Alice settling down the cake gently.

Carmen looking around, So now what? We broke in now do we hide or what?

Alice being funny, Yeah, lets flip the couch over with Shane still on it. And try to hide under it. They wont notice a thing.

Dana gave Alice a look of like she is being unbelievable.

Alice looking back at Dana, Im kidding, lets dim the lights as it were and wait.

Meanwhile up stair, Tina and Bette have finished their little shower. Both are out of the shower. Bette in her underwear while Tina is nearly fully dressed in her pajamas.

You hear something? Tina pretended.

Bette paused and didnt hear anything, Could be Danielle moving around down stair, maybe shes awake.

Tina rushes to the door of the bedroom and pinched Bette on the butt on her way. Bette went jumpy and smiled.

Bette is putting on her pajamas too as she heard Tina, Babe, would you come down here quick.

Bette felt terrified and rushes down stair.

Tina standing holding Danielle in both arm.

Bette looking around noticing a small candle on the table and ignoring it wondering why it is so dark down here, T, whats wrong?

Tina walked over to the lights control and begins to brighten the room.

A voice coming from behind the couch, Its your birthday silly.

Tina came over to Bette as she is gushing in blush, Tina give Bette a kiss on the cheek and the girls all revealed themselves.

Alice came over to take Danielle from Tina, Come on, none of us are getting any younger.

Tina hand Alice Danielle and take a hold of Bettes left hand and make the way to the couch.

Bette see Shane limping to the other chair on the side, Whats wrong with her?

Shane sarcastically replied, Nothing, I was so overjoyed.

Alice interrupts, She tripped over the baby crib T.

Carmen gave Alice a look.

Tina then glance to the baby crib noticing that it is broken. Tina couldnt help but laugh.

Dana, Go on. Make your wish and blow out the candle.

Bette smiles, closes her eyes and blow out the candle.

Shes at night school, Carmen replied.

Tina now remembering, Oh yeah. Ill save her some cake.

Dana added, Im sure she would love that.

Tina took a large butcher knife and slice from the top to the bottom from the center of the cake. Then repeats it till the cake is evenly cuts. She then took one plate at a time, put a slice on each and handed to each person.

So T? How was work today? Alice asked taking a bite into the cake from the folk.

Same old, same old. Tina replied grinning at Bette.

Tina held out Danielle right hand and waves it at Bette, Good thing I am the mother of your child.

Alice looking up and couldnt believe it.

Tina got up, coming to the center of Alice and Dana hugging them and holding them together. Well it is about time you kids get together.

Bette playing with Danielles belly then looking up, Yeah, Alice. Now you will be one of the boring. Bette held out Danielles right hand and gesturing to Alice, Join us, you dont know the power of the dark side young Alice.

Alice looking at Dana, I dont know. We have to tell Danas parents first.

Ill put on some music. Said Tina getting up walking over to the sterio system.

An hour later, Bettes party is now calming down a bit. Each person enjoying the cake but each barely finished it.

Shane limping up, Guys, listen. Carmen and I have to go.

Carmen looking up at Shane putting down her plate, Carmen isnt going to anywhere with you.

Carmen getting up, Oh alright. If youre going to trip from here to the house next door then you are on your own.

Alice putting her arms around Danas shoulders. Dana looking at Alice, Yeah, we too have to get going.

Tina and Bette looking at each other with Danielle in Tinas lap. They both said to each other, So boring. smiling at Dana and Alice.

Dana said to Alice getting up, Boring?

Ill show you boring when we get home. Alice replied looking intensely at Bette and Tina.

Tina rests Danielle gently on the couch. Both Bette and her getting up and help all four of their guests out the door.

Bette said from behind, Goodnight guys.

Tina following up, Goodnight, and thank you for everything.

Safe trip home. Tina said from inside the house behind Dana.

Tina shut the door and turns to Bette giving her a kiss on the mouth briefly. She then heads to the couch to pick up Danielle.

Bette watches them, looking back to the mess in the middle of the living room.

Oh let me clean up this mess, Bette sounded excited but sarcastic about it as Tina about to take one step to up stair.

Thanks babe, said Tina continuing her walk.

Bette sake her head, smiled at Tina following her with her eyes until she disappeared up the stairway. Bette then turn, grab a trash bag and begin to put the whats trash in the bag. There is still some cake left on the large plate. Bette then remembered to leave some for Jenny later on. She finds a cake cover and place on top of the cake covering it.

While up stair in Bette and Tinas bedroom. Tina got a wet tower to clean Danielles face of any cake. She then head to the bathroom to clean herself up to get ready for bed.

Bette walks in the bedroom. Seeing Danielle sleeping there peacefully. Bette begin to move quietly to the bathroom where it sounded like where Tina is. Bette coming from behind reach both arms around Tina.

Thanks you for tonight, said Bette as she kisses Tinas shoulder.

Tina with a toothbrush in her mouth, Youre welcome.

Tina spits out the cream bubbles, I said youre welcome.

Tina moves out of the way for Bette to use the sink. Bette washes her hands with the soap. Tina then moves over to the toilet to pee. Tina looking up, You dont mind if Danielle sleep with us tonight do you? Ill go out and buy a new crib for her when Im at lunch tomorrow.

Have Shane pay for it since she broken it. Bette suggested.

Tina still looking, I cant do that Bette.

I know, I was kidding.

Tina smiles and grabs a piece of toilet paper to clean herself. She get up and uses the sink. Then walk over to the towel and clean her hands. Bette followed her steps.

Tina gets in the bed and covered both her and Danielle up with the thin and soft blanket. Bette comes out of the bathroom looking directly at Tina in bed seductively.

I cant believe Im going to sleep with two girls tonight, said Bette walking bare feet to the bed sliding in place next to Danielle in the middle.

Tina reaches right hand across the blanket over Danielle for Bette left hand. Bette catches it and both rest it down on the blanket facing each other with Danielle facing Tina.

You are wonderful, said Bette looking down at Danielle.

Tina then looking down at Danielle and then back at Bette, “I know.

Bette is thinking This is the life, this is the love, and this is forever.
Tina is thinking Why did I ever left her for someone else, looking at Bette, Im sorry, if I ever hurt you I am so sorry Bette.

Bette and Tina then fall asleep.
