My Only One – (Chapter: 2.)

    October 16th, 2009.

Spencer’s party is tonight and I’m pretty excited for it. The only thing I’m afraid of is not knowing anyone. How awkward would that be? Extremely. But I think I’ll be okay. The party starts in 30 minutes so I’m trying to get ready. I wore what I wore to school that day, basketball shorts and a t-shirt. It’s not like I’m trying to impress anyone right? I finished getting ready and got her present together. My mom drove me to Spencer’s house and everyone was outside. Once the car came to a stop Spencer opened my door and said,

“Ashley!” She had a huge smile on her face.

    “Hah hey.”

“Alright, well have fun sweetie.” My mom said.

“Do you want to meet my parents?”

“No, that’s okay, I trust my daughter.”

“Bye mom.” She kissed my head and drove off.

“Here you go.” I handed her her present.

    “Thanks you.” She smiled.

“Ha no prob.” I smiled back.

“Okay so you know Aiden right?”

    “Yes he’s in our Science.”

“Hah right. Okay well he’s afraid he won’t know anyone.” He aint the only one.

    “Oh.”

“Yeah, anyways, that’s Haley, Caitlyn, Anthony, Travis, Macey, Beatrice, Aiden, Landon, and well, everyone.”

    “Cool.”

“I really wish you could spend the night.” She frowned.

“I know, but I have to go see my sister at College.” I frowned too.

    “Ashley!”

I looked over and Macey was running toward me. Uh-oh. I braced myself and she jumped on top of me and brought me down. Ouch.

    “Ooh, you just got owned!”

    “Ha whatever Macey.”

She helped me up and we talked about her and Beatrice. They’re ‘married’ too. She always tells me they’re as happy as ever. Which makes me sad cause I know me and Lilly aren’t like that. I was soon snapped out of my thought by Spencer dragging me to the road to teach her how to dance. I used to dance for 6 years, took Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. I tried very hard to teach her how to do a leap thing but it didn’t go so well ha. She’s defiantly not the dancing type. We gave up after a while.

Haley kept talking to me about my old Youth Pastor. She kept telling me he’s amazing and all this stuff that I wasn’t really listening to. When she finally stopped talking it was time to open presents so everyone would be here for it. So we went inside and Spencer blew out her candles and we ate cake, but I didn’t cause I wasn’t hungry. Then an icing fight broke out and Spencer was running from Macey out of the house. Everyone followed and Macey missed and dropped the plate full of icing. I picked it up and put it behind my back and run up behind Spencer and got her right in the face! It was hilarious. Then she started chasing me and I surprisingly out ran her.
