Previously on Shit Happens

“Madison you have to leave…I can’t…I can’t let Ash see you here…”

“Bu..” I cut her off.

“There’s no buts about it I well figure out everything in my own time…please go Madison. “

I can tell she can see how desperate I am right now. I’m not going to have her force me to make my move or my decision faster then I already.

She looks at me. Her body visibly relaxing even though I haven’t told her my plans.

“Okay, Spence.” She reaches out and grabs my hand.

“This isn’t over though spence.” she reaches out and entwines her fingers in my hair her other hand falling onto my shoulder. I look at her. I let her touch me like this, an intimacy usually reserved for someone you love. I don’t stop her though I don’t even think I would even if I could.

As unexpected as it was for her to be here and kiss me I don’t want her to go, but she has to. Her hand trails down my arm until it reaches my hand and she reluctantly lets go, breaking all contact with me. I can’t stop the small smile that tugs at the corners of my mouth.

I reluctantly pull back slowly. I look into her eyes and I can see the look I used to see once upon a time with Ashley. It surprises me, I don’t know why it does considering our previous actions but it does. Once she sees this smile as small as it might have been, she smiles back and hers is anything but a small.

It’s so big, I swear I felt my heart skip a beat. She then turns to leave her back now facing me. She opens the door and I realize something we had momentarily forgotten. I don’t know why I was surprised when I was expecting her and I knew she was just outside the house. She looks at Madison and and turns her head and then looks at me questionally.

“Ashley.” I say in a light whisper.

Her brown orbs fall on me as she peers into my room from the hall. Her eyes turn towards Madison.
