    ASHLEY’S P.O.V.

    I had just dropped Emily off. She dumped me, I feel bad, but relieved. I’m scared, I want to be with Spencer, but she might hurt me again. I’m walking home and it starts raining.

    Ashley: “Oh great! Just perfect! As if my day couldn’t get any more dramatic! It’s raining, on Christmas Eve!!!” I yell, looking up at the sky as the rain drenches me.

    I continue walking home. My sleeves are heavy and longer than my hands, from the rain. My hair is soaked, and shoes making sloshing sounds. I cross my arms and hang my head low. I’m not even gonna bother running. I’m getting close to the house, I see a figure sitting in the front on the bench that sits in the lawn. I continue walking aimlessly. I get to the bench and realize it’s Spencer. She stands quickly.

    Spencer: “Ashley…I love you.” she says sadly. Her face is wet, but I can’t tell if its from the rain, or if its tears. It’s probably a mixture of both. She just looks at me intensely, with sad eyes.

    Spencer: “I’m in love with you.” she breathes out. I’m quiet, I know she loves me…and I love her, but…I’m scared. “Doesn’t the fact that I’m constantly bringing this up mean anything? I love you and I want to be with you.” she says sadly.

    I know she’s right. I love her and she finally wants me, she’s wanted me for a while, so why do I keep running from this? Other than the fact that I’m afraid, there is no reason I shouldn’t be with her, she’s everything I want. To me she is in one word…perfect. Even though we’ve been through a lot I still hold her on a high pedestal. So why not go for it?

    Ashley: “Don’t hurt me anymore.” I say sadly, choking back my tears.

    Spencer: “I won’t.” she says reassuringly. “If anything, I’ll protect you."

    Ashley: “Never leave me.” I begin cry.

    Spencer: “Never. I will never leave you, for anyone or any reason. Just…just have a little faith in me.” I nod.

    Ashley: “I love you.” I say crying.

    Spencer: “I love you too.” she says breathily, nodding.

    1. So I was like yay! as I was reading this whole thing till I got to the A/N. Umm…I’m ecstatic that they are FINALLY together. About damn time!! The whole scene in the rain was awesome. Loved it. The little hiatus you’re taking not so much. I’m really going to miss this but I understand. Can’t wait till you update again and Happy New Year to you too!

    29. I just read this whole story, for the first time, today and it was great, and now its on hiatus. That saddens me, but it was almost 50 chapters and you paused it on a happy note, so its good.
