The Playground of the Rest of our Lives – (Chapter: [2] Red Rover)

Today was Wednesday; Spencer spent the 6 hours in school stressing the fact that she didn’t want to study with Bradley and that she understood the material on her own, but I told her I had seen her last test score – there was no way she’d be getting out of this excursion tonight.

"Spencer, you’ll be fine, it’ll be fun. You’re only studying, it’s not like it’s some crazy, spontaneous thing he’s decided to suprise you with! You do it with me all the time – just pretend I’m him!" I tried to lighten her up, frankly I was tired of hearing her whine when I knew that tomorrow she’d be all smiles ready to make Wednesdays ‘Bradley Days’.

"Ugh. Ashley, you’re impossible sometimes! I should make you go since you ARE the one who set this up. You talked to him on the phone, not me. I can’t believe this."

"Okay, I’m officially cutting you off. I’m not going to talk about this with you anymore until it’s over. So, you can call me AFTER you get home from studying with Bradley and tell me all about it. But until then…" I let my voice trail off to watch Spencer’s face twist in suspense, "… how about you meet me in the bathroom in ten minutes?" And I winked at her before walking into class. I walked backwards to watch her face drop and ask she opened her mouth to speak I pointed my finger in the air in time for the bell to ring, signaling time for talking was over, it was time for learning. [Gotta love school mottos]

I guess I should explain some things, huh? Well, let’s set things straight right now then. Hah, no pun intended. Okay, so I, Ashley Davies am a well-known lesbian. I’ve dated many-a-girl in my time and know a thing or two about what’s going on. Spencer Carlin, is my best friend. She is, of course, aware of my likings and supports me with everything. However, Spencer, is straight. But, on the plus side, she plays along with my jokes and lets me put my "moves" on her … sometimes. We both know the line I should never cross. There has never been anything going on with Spencer and I … aside from all the things going on in my head … but that’s not important!
